Hello, im running a high end gaming pc but im having a lot of problems.
Starcraft 2 files keep going corrupted after a few rounds and i keep having to repair them.
Im also having weird stuttering problems with other games, i build this pc a few weeks ago.
It has a AMD FX-8120 cpu, a Asus GTX 560 graphics card, 4gb ram (i bought 8gb but the other bar is broken and currently up for replacement)
Some people say it could be my hdd and some say its my ram bar.
i did a memtest86 and it didnt show any errors.
I reinstalled windows 7 today but first explorer.exe would start and now i finaly got that working but now starcraft 2 still has the same issues.
I realy dont know what to do anymore, does anybody know what to do? :(

The HDD is the problem

Perform defrags and error checkings on it and see if this fixes your issues.

I just got the whole pc a week ago, the other ram bar from the same package was broken too so i thought this one might be too, but the HDD could REALY be the problem.
Here is a picture of what just happend, the reactors on my Baracks had huge black squares under them, on the right side you see my tempratures wich arent high at all.

Don't bump.

I don't see anything wrong in that pic, but the directx 9 crash from the first one is indicative of some serious issues with your system

I suggest you send it to warranty, replace the damaged RAM stick, and reinstall windows.

I have to side with the ever-helpful Moonshadow here MastaGlazy, it definitely looks like a hardware issue (probably HDD) but if the equipment is all new then your warranty should help you out here.

Hello Nartryndon.
I called up the online store i bought the parts from and he also said its probably the HDD.
He said he cant be a 100% sure over the phone and that i should disassemble the whole pc and send all the parts back, unfortunantly im not going to do this because i had a hard time putting it together and i dont know how to take some of the things out.
I'm going to my local computer store and ask them too and tell them my issues.
If they also say its the hard drive then i will buy a new hard drive and send this one back.

Also, i did a harddrive check trough windows and the check took about 2 hours, it didnt show any errors wich was very suprising.
after that my computer restarted and after logging into windows everything went realy bad.
I couldnt start ANY program or game whitout getting an error about ntdll.dll.
Also some weird 0f00000 something like that errors, i couldnt even click the shutdown button in the start menu because that would give me the same error.
I had the windows 7 installation files stored on my computer so i transfered them to my usb stick to reinstall windows but unfortunantly these files were also corrupt.
so now i have not only a corrupt windows but also a corrupt installation usb :(
I turned the computer on this morning and the errors are gone, i havent tried any games yes but im pretty sure those problems are still there.

I will keep you updated if its realy my harddrive.

Considering your HDD and/or RAM stick are damaged, they could have inflicted a hell lot of corruption on all files on your computer.

Performing full wipe and clean reinstall of windows 7 is the way to go, after you replaced the damaged components, otherwise you would have fixed nothing.

Yeah im happy i didnt do much on the pc yet except install starcraft and a few other games.
I just brought my computer to the store nearby and they also said its probably the HDD i asked him if i could buy one there but he said it was better if he would take a full look at it first instead of having me waste money if the hdd is not the problem.

He said he will take a look at it wednesday/friday becuase he is very busy.

Also the online store i bought the computer from called that i need to send my other ram stick too.
I only send them the damaged one but since they were in a pack of 2 they want the other one too, so currently they have me very pissed off.
The computer is at the store so i will have to wait till saturday/monday till i get it back, the hdd is probably broken so then i need to send the hdd and ram stick back to the online store, then have them check it out wich will also take 3-4 days, then send me everything back and hope it will work -.-

I was realy looking forward to a summer vacation on my new gaming pc but i guess it isnt supposed to be that way :(
