Don't you guys love it...

when you see the Zerg players coming to you and saying "you need to mix it up", "you need to find new opening", "you have to stop playing the same old same old for so long".
Taking a look at the strategy section of Terran on Liquipedia, and seeing how many openings/timings have been sent to oblivion, being defendable by a handful of Zerglings and Queens, it just makes one go nuts!!! |
6 queen opening. O wait. |

I would say that terrans should do things a bit differently, but zergs are definitely not the type of people that should be talking here.

Seeing latest pro games it really seems terrans did run out of early game tactics. Now it's just turtle some expansions and try have fast upgrades. Then just guess do he open with roach or banes. Do zerg tech for ling, infestor brood or ling infestor ultra. Avoid combat long as possible while running harras and drops everywhere.
This game really needs HotS bring some extra units to this game so hopefully we really start seeing some strategy in this game. |

Don't you love the Battle.net forums, where people are friends with everyone?

TvZ seems to be zerg favored even on highest level. On lower, average levels zerg is much more forgiving than terran.
I constantly see master league zergs with crappy injects, who because of it float 1-2k minerals, sometimes even more, but they still managed to get ML. As terran you would never get in ML by having such poor macro (terran equivalent - not adding enough production to spend your money efficiently). On top of that you need at least solid control even if you are ahead on macro. You can have superior macro as terran but still your 160sup army can lose to zerg 120sup army if you don't babysit your army and get caught unsieged or even if zerg has good flank and you are on creep. |
Zerg is different from Terran and Protoss. You cannot just look at a zerg who's 150/200 with 2k minerals and say. Oh he's got bad macro. You have to take larvae into consideration together with who's in the lead of the game. A zerg who's ahead don't wanna max out on useless lings. Now that would be bad macro |

You are describing a particular situation. I'm talking in general. Sometimes they are ahead so your point stands, sometimes they are not and there is constant trading with terran and they barely win/lose despite having tons of unspent resources due to bad injects. You can have relatively bad macro and be in ML as zerg, you cant do that as terran, with that much unspent you would be plat at best. There are other stuff related to difficulty of terran/zerg macro, but I dont want to write a huge reply here. |

If you go gas heavy build it is normal to have a lot of minerals hanging. Some players build a ton of spines because of that, but you need to max out first. You can also have a lot of resources if you wait for the enemy to move out so you can see what units you need to counter it. This is not bad macro. Also if you lose to 40 food smaller zerg army, you suck.
