I did all that end it worked by going into task manager and using end process on Agent.exe or whatever it was called, so that loads and it goes to the launcher when suddenly:
"failed to download information about the next patch. check your network connection" How do I fix this one then blizz? |

Please make sure the game isn't running in any compatibility modes, this may cause issues with applying the patch or running the game at all.
If you're recieiving errors about connectivity, please go into Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options> Connections> LAN settings and make sure that you de-select Automatically Detect settings. And make sure that you haveUse Automatic configuration Script and Use a Proxy server not checked. Also ensure that Internet Explorer is set to work online. |

Just give us an alternate way to download your crappy patch you nutheads! (there will be no standalone patch for this version, we are sorry for the incovenience) really?!?!?! Nothing works, but appreciate the effort you guys from the forum put in to help us users. altough i'm in a military base and it used to download every update until this one! Thank you Blizzard!!! Thank you very much! Canceling subscription to WoW, i hope you rot in Diablo's hell you dimwitts.

I solved this doing that :
Then it went on "updating", "optimizing" the game files for like 5-10 minutes (don't know if that's part of the normal process. And it started downloading the patch with the new downloader (1.2GB) But then everything worked fine again. Hope this helps... |

If blizzard can please help me, or someone from the forums. I have Win XP SP3, get to updating setup files and at 1% after 3 hours it says no internet connection or something similar. Can someone from blizzard please tell if i should just give up and quit playing or is there any solution?
|
no help? i did everything what blue post said. can i please get some help for a game i bought? and should be able to play? It's not just you having problems. I've been waiting for a solution since the patch came out. And you expect an answer 1 hour? It's horrible and I think Blizzard should do something about it, but I think it will take a couple of days. |

Hey guys.
I got the same problem like you. After I did everything here in the thread I got another error: "failed to download information about the next patch. check your network connection." Then I did the step with the Internet Explorer and got this error: "Blizzard Launcher: Failed to resolve install data URL from http://<locale>.patch.battle.net:1119/patch. Please check your internet connection." I tried to fix it with this: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4926754292#7 But unfortunately this doesn't help. If I do it, I get the first error message. I'm so desperate and I just want to play! I hope anybody can help. Edit: I already wrote a ticket to the blizzard support but I don't have a reply yet. |

Tried all the tings mentioned in this thread and nothing works.
Description of what goes wrong : When enUS-Downloader starts a progress bar appears saying "checking for updates" then changes to "Launching Blizzard Launcher" and then it just disapears. It just crashes there, resource monitor just says terminated. When can we expect to have this fixed? I'm unable to play since this patch came out and am now very mad at blizzard. Always tought they would'nt release such buggy code, but aparently they did. The arcade beta worked fine, so I just don get it. |

The update gone to the red mark and couldn't read a file or something and now it cant do anything, when I click on Starcraft 2 icon I get "An internal error occurred. please restart. If problem persist contact customer support."
If you got the same issue/problem above: it's because the update1.5patch moved your Starcraft files/folders to a different location on your Computer, If you have a Starcraft II icon on your desktop right-click it, properties, look at the "Target", then click "Open File Location", move that Starcraft II.exe/other files with it back to where you installed it in the first place and run it. my issue the update moved the files to C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II and that was cause it because it was in the wrong place, so I had to move them back to C:\Program Files\StarCraft II for it to work. This is on Window7. I wonder if this help any of you to solve the problem around 1.5 patch. |
