Most simply put Vikings(if he has Vikings of his own) and Battlecruisers.

Expand everywhere, get loads of starports, produce as many tanks/vikings you can, ram your tanks into his Siege line killin' as many as possible, produce 200/200 BCs on top of your current vikings - win.

nukes bc vikings and tanks then just trade whit him.

Starve him out and expand everywhere so you can remax quickly after an army trade also get vikings and eventually BCs to kill him because those tanks dont shoot up also using the ghosts nuke is an option to push back the tanks aswell

Ghost + Nuke, when he unsieges, move in and siege up forcing him back. Vikings also provide better range for the tanks, use those to gain range advantage.

Well theres 3 options , more tanks and vikings to have better visions than he. Or as you said nuke, i like 3 nuke silos cloak isnt needed as he is in a fortified position and you can just nuke outside hes range , your army will kill anything that comes out. Last option is Battlecruiser with raven support . Either yahamato the tanks and move in with the ground army. Or first yahamato turrets , then move in to kill turrets with BC and drop PDD behind them. This needs many BC (around 10) and if he got vikings then you need vikings of your own.

My favorite way is the nuke with tanksupport. As it is realy impossible for a heavily fortiefied 2 base to combat getting nuked regularly. In bronze many quit when the 2nd nuke lands.

if he has just 2 PF's on 2 base he will have a horrible income. And more importantly, no scans. Just set up a huge tank/viking/marine contain and expand then if he really doesn't move out start nuking, remember, no scans.

don't forget to turret up your own base lest he sneaks out a medivac

If he has no scans then just nuke the !@#$ out of him.

Early-mid game marine and marauders are quite good vs siege tanks if caught off guard... and if the opponent didn't build turrets you can drop their mineral line and do some damage.

However, there reaches a point in TvT where bio becomes just completely worthless... 3/3 tanks in counts of 15+ just demolishes infinite bio so its not worth building anymore... you have to do air transition or mech transition at that point... or you can stick with pure mech more or less the whole game (easier style of play) with tank hellions and vikings which are viable all the way up to the late game.

if you play bio you can't face your opponent head on in a big fight but you have a major mobility advantages. He can't attack and guard his 3th/4th etc. So being active with scans and sending small strike forces all across the map is hard to deal with. As soon as you see where he's sieged up move around it and hit a vulnerable spot. And if you ever catch him unsieged you can kick his !@#.

I'm far from perfect with it but I find it infinitly more fun then inching tank lines back and forth and poking with vikings until someone gets a good drop of or dies of boredom after 45 minutes

Harvest 6 gasses minimum then go Battlecruisers with Vikings and 3/3 air upgrades. The vikings are only to defend the BCs in case he has air as well. BCs beat Turrets, Tanks and Planetary fortresses with ease, and if he has Thors, every 1 BC (with Cannon) can take on 3 Thors put together!!! Plus it will end the game well before 30 minutes.

I've got a couple of points for you to consider, if you excuse the lack of structure/lack of nice writing. It's 4 a.m. and I'm in a bad shape after a couple of such nights. So, without further ado:

1. Like with probably any turtling player, if he turtles up, you expand. This can actually be a nice opportunity to learn how to conduct a macro game in a more less natural way (before higher level players force you to, with more difficulty to beat them). Get your stuff up, practice staying on top of it. The practice will come useful and it would be hard for you to arrange such practice if you actually wanted to be practicing macro instead of laddering, so take it as free macro self-coaching of sorts. At the very least, it should make late game and large-scale macro feel more familiar to you. Which means more confidence. You still need to play seriously, without lazing about or neglecting defences, and always keep an eye on him throughout. Same as if you were playing a normal macro game.

2. If you trade armies evenly with someone who has fewer bases (less economy) than you, you're still in a better shape than he is. He can probably field another army or even remax but not really more than once (depends what he builds but still). As long as you don't get slaughtered by his army + static defences without killing off most of it, you're generally still in a good position. You just don't want to lose everything and leave him with enough army to come and destroy your bases.

3. Since you actually found a way and defeated him, you learnt your lesson and passed the exam, so congrats! :)

4. Nukes are perhaps underrated and underexplored. They can be useful. Oh, and you can use a scan to make vision for your ghost, instead of a unit.

5. In fact, drilling through whatever such a guy puts up between you and his soft belly, can actually be valuable practice for when you need to win a dogged fight against a higher level player. Try to focus on this thought rather than that the guy might as well deploy all those defences and go make tea hoping you don't have the time or attention span to waste 40 minutes. Or 1 hour and 40 minutes. Higher level players are going to do worse things to you in terms of psych warfare.
