It's not that Protoss could not counter Thors without feedback, it was because Thors spawned with cannons ready'n'waiting and they could easily lock down Immortals. With energy they have to wait for something like 2 minutes before they can use it which makes push delayed so much it's no longer viable. Feedback is just another nail to the coffin making late game Thors useless when HTs are deployed.

So still they couldn't counter it without energy or carriers. |

For now we don't plan on making bigger game-changing balance adjustments like the ones mentioned in the OP. We are still considering some smaller, surgically placed changes, where we feel they might be necessary, but we feel that WoL is in a good place.
On top of that we don't want to mess with WoL too much and our desire is to keep the gameplay stable, considering that the upcoming HotS beta will remodel a lot, balance included. Of course we intend to support WoL alongside HotS—like it's the case for all our games—but unless something totally unexpected happens, a balance patch that is this impactful will most likely not be coming for WoL in the near future. |

The problem was a thor rush, and thors spawning with the 250 mm cannon off cd. Not somekinda endgame situation where you would get carriers. As far as i have heard. Just adding a simple cd equal to the time it takes to get the energy for 250 mm cannon would have sufficed, or simply removing the skill alltogether. The problem was never that thors where too strong in TvP lategame. |

@Kapeselus:
But why don't you react to the bad terran representation in higher leagues? http://sc2ranks.com/stats/league/all/1/all This is an objective symptom for imbalance in starcraft 2. Or do you want to push zerg-race for better chance of selling HotS? |
Surgery with a shotgun |
Select is only what, 10 times better than some random masters player? He would never do that kinda stuff against a player of his own caliber. |
infestor isn't imba??? really?? The real nerf should be a cooldown on fungal to prevent a single inf to chain that skill (too easy to do considering that you deny enemy's micro) and probably some kind of nerf to the infested terran (no upgrades to his damage or more energy to cast) For now we don't plan on making bigger game-changing balance adjustments like the ones mentioned in the OP. We are still considering some smaller, surgically placed changes, where we feel they might be necessary, but we feel that WoL is in a good place. I'd like to say 2 things about this argument: I've paid 60€ to have a "full game", because you cannot say wol is "an expansion" and if it is i'd like to have something like 30€ back. You are just admitting that the game will be abbandoned to the actual "state", including just few "surgical patch" that I've not the courage to think what will nerf or buff. So you are indeed saying that I MUST buy HOTS if i want a game followed by the developers. You think this is an honest way to threat your customers?? Do you think (I'm asking to you as a blizzard referent, I've nothing against you) tha WOL is indeed a complete game, actually balanced enough, to let it to itself and just dedicate every attention to HOTS?? Do you think it's the right way to interact with all your customers that have bought WOL and probably will not buy HOTS considering all the deabatable "improvement" you have done to the game always ignoring the community's feedbacks??? I'd like to have a constructive discussion, it's not just a troll post. I think I will buy HOTS but I also think that a lot of people will not do it. Blizzard had planned this acting way from the beginning? Considering all the things I've already said isn't wiser just play to WOL until LOTV will come out considering that once the 3rd exp will be readt also HOTS will be abbandoned to itself?? Do you will introduce some HOTS requirement to install LOTV to avoid this problem?? (Sorry if I've dome some mistake English is not my language) |
They had energy in the beginning, then it was removed, then it was added back again. |

No way Blizzard would put so many big changes in one patch. These are HUGE changes, I know that there was lot of time between last patches, but its totally not Blizzards style. They put one major change and look how much effect it has on matchups.

All of the above changes seems really reasonable. Except the orbital nerf which isn't needed anymore (since the queen buff has helped zerg to play so much more greedy.)
This seems abit terran biased but it's really about time that terran gets a help in the late game situations. And this is just helping terran so that they can get a few bc and thors in late game vs toss. And also helping terran to deal with the late game brood lord, infestor army since the fungle radious will be less in combination with more possible seeker missiles (the energy cost is still to high as well but it would be one good step in the correct direction) Alot of these changes is damn spot on, I hope the next step from blizzard will be in this direction atleast. The raven if anything should have a range increase to 8 and an energy cost of 100 (two seekers from a fully charged raven seems damn reasonable) |
I had trouble reading your post, and I won't put any effort to understand it. You are making another QQ post. Your comparison between a full game and an expansion make no sense. If you are familliar with wow expansions, would you think that blizzard needs to give the money back because an expansion came out? |
@Kapeselus: No its not and nope |
Yeah if you see the last tournaments, taeja takes it all including MLG. But yeh terran players always find the littlelest things and make a big fuss about it and cry about it. |
