Greetings, everyone.

We wanted to inform you that Season 3 of 2012 will lock this coming Wednesday, September 5, 2012.

We are aware that this date is different from the one previously projected and displayed in the StarCraft II client and for that we apologize. The original expectation was for the season lock to occur on August 25, however the new tools implemented in patch 1.5.0 for handling upcoming season rolls did not function as we had anticipated. That being said, this season will now officially lock on September 5 and come to a conclusion on September 12 with the start of Season 4.

Thanks for your patience. If you’re on the cusp of reaching your goals for this season, we encourage you to get after it! You still have a few more days to make a final push.

I gave up trying to reach silver a few days ago because of this.. Logged on today to see that the dates had changed and was promoted into silver a few matches later! Goal finished! :D

This delay came in an awesome timing, it allowed to get into the top 25 :) hopefully I will keep it up until then new season. :) (I know rank means close to nothing, but its fun to have a goal to achieve, for example next season I got top 8 to aspire to :D)

Hm... I was trying to hit nr 1 in bronze. Currently at nr 2, so I need to wait until 5th of September to be sure I don't get promoted to silver right?

What are the points needed for diamond to masters this season? Normally there is a blog post with the point boundaries. Im hoping its 900 points as in the others!
