Topic Saved game issue

Hi there,

I had progressed to a certain point in the game, saved manually, then exited campaign. I was then greeted with a message telling me my battle.net login was incorrect (I had been logged in previously).

I entered the details again, logged in, and... my campaign progress was set back hours and hours. The 4 hours or so I had played since were not visible, even the save game I saved manually (can't find it anywhere).

Any ideas?

Hi,

I have the same problem - I started playing the campaign yesterday and finished a number of missions, manually saving at several points in addition to the automatic saves. I already noticed while playing that no achievements were unlocked, even though I fulfilled the requisites. It might be I was not "fully" logged into battle.net, maybe due to Windows Firewall issues (or the servers being under a bit of stress on release night...).

When I started again tonight, none of my savegames where displayed. I found the Savegame-files in Documents/Starcraft II/Saves/Campaign and double-clicking the files starts Starcraft at the point I saved, but aparently the game does not remember my campaign progress either and the savegames still don't show up ingame...

Had about the same sort of problem. I just had a crash and I thought no big deal 2nd one today after roughly 4 to 6 hours of play and just rebooted the game.

Now to my amazement the 2nd time when I tried to continue the campaign again I was set back about 10 orso missions. Half my zerg research gone (I had it full) and about a quarter protoss.

Now what am I supposed to do exactly ? recontinue where I was before , crash again and start over AGAIN ????

Been enjoying the game immensly (great story btw) but this is a huge let down. Weird this is .. only the achievements of the LAST mission I was doing didnt unlock and the ones before I did get ... more so I still have those achievements but the saves for it are gone.

Rather stumped right now

Just rechecked ... I lost all my saves and achievements of about 4 hours of playing time.

I'm 100% sure I had the achievements unlock untill the last mission (those I truly unlocked).
Since I'm playing logged in the saved games get stored on the blizzard servers and since I didnt get DCed from the internet (checked my router logs) the problem is on blizzards end.

Ah, well that was going to be my next port of call, to see if I could access the save games from the folder itself, as I KNOW I saved the game manually just before the problem.

This definitely needs Blizzard attention, as I am faced with playing through the same missions again which, frankly, will ruin the game for me. Replay value is great, but not the next day on the same missions!

Otherwise I would have to request to be able to get a refund on the game as it is unlikely with my limited time that I will play through the same missions again.

Additional - I can access my save game manually by simply double clicking on it in it's location on my PC, but I cannot use this save game whilst logged in to Battle.net. As a result I have missed out on achievements in the meantime.

I would like to be able to use this save game for my battle.net account. Please provide a solution wherein I can upload it to battle.net.

Hello,

Try resetting your Battle.net account password and wait up to 30 minutes before logging in. Should the issue persist you will need to contact our Account and Billing department. We cannot troubleshoot account issues on this forum:

You have NOT read the description of what happened and have merely seen the phrase 'login incorrect'.

I am able to log in fine to battle.net, no problems... it appeared during playing I was logged out for some reason, but I have lost hours of campaign progress. I had saved it manually and it is available in a .save file, but only if I am not online in battle.net and so cannot talk with friends, gain achievements etc. If I log in to battle.net the last save is 4 hours previous. This is unacceptable.

I require a method to have the contents of the .save file saved on my battle.net account. That I have missed out on some achievements is a shame, but not the end of the world. I do not, however, want to play through the same missions again.

Hi

I wanted to ask that same thing too. What happens if i get disconected in the middle of a campaign mission? Does it get saved only on my computer and if i get out and in again of starcraft and/or connect back to battle.net do i have to play that mission again?

Thanks.

Well it seems that is the case yes, which is just blatantly stupid given that people are being constantly disconnected from battle.net.

I have and resetting the password has nothing to do with login issues, in this case. If you could please try...

I have reset my password, which you should be able to verify.

Upon logging in, the last save is at 19:17.

In my local saves directory, the time on the last save, which was just before I shut down for the night, was 22:55.

This save is not accessible if I am logged in to battle.net. I would like to be able to have this save available whilst online for achievements etc.

From reading other posts, it seems this is becoming a fairly widespread issue. A facility to allow people to upload local save games to battle.net would at least allow us to solve the symptom, if not the cause.

I did also wait 30 minutes, just FYI. Still the save games from last night are not visible.

I have the same problem. Why are the blue posters not doing anything?

I want to keep my saves.

Was the game unlocking and displaying Achievements whilst playing the game till 22:55?

At the time I wasn't aware that I was disconnected, so I was not looking for it specifically. I do recall noting though, that I was pretty sure I had completed one achievement but it was not awarded to me. As it was an achievement regarding killing the marauders in the train mission, I figured I might have missed one!

But otherwise, no, no achievements were awarded during that playtime.

From this we can of course surmise that I was offline, which explains the local save game files, but at no point did I see a warning telling me that I had been disconnected (unless I was AFK). I can appreciate that upon launch B.Net will have been busy - no problems. But I would also expect a solution to my problem in terms of getting this local save game up onto B.Net so I don't have to repeat the missions!
