Protoss Tech Tree - Game Guide

Protoss is the hardest race to get started in my opinion, because with all other you will have base defense really easy, (a.k.a queens, bunkers, missile turrets, crawlers, etc.) but if you go forge +3 cannons you will automatically be back in troops that much you don't even need to hope for playing.

And 2 or 3 cannons can't do anything at all to about 10-15 mutalisks.

It's good still because zerg is hard for larva, supply and mineral/gas management, while terran is well... umm... too easy.

@Militaizi: maybe, you should focus on units not on canon defense? it's not like in the previous Starcraft! Playing with the previous SC strategy and you will loose! There are many ways to play and win with Protoss, the most simple is with 5-10 WarpGates (usually you don't arrive to 10, because the game will end till then :D). But the most important is how you start. I personally don't create drones at the game start point, only after i build the first pylon.

@Uppsala: In starcraft2 it seems, but if the protoss had been Like in starcraft they would be as good as invincible. It's a shame that they made the protoss much weaker then before. The only real typical protoss unit is the Immortal: strong, hard hitting but expensive. The zealot has been made so weak even with charge, they almost always die before reaching the enemy.
