In the centuries since, these primary command ships had departed the field of battle and become holy shrines, venerated by mystics and historians. But the loss of Aiur has convinced the Protoss to resurrect their oldest and most powerful weapons. All Motherships hold a huge khaydarin crystal infused with enough psionic energy to distort the very fabric of time and space. When wielding this force, these vessels can instantly destroy squadrons of enemy ships or even entire planets.

General Strategy
- Massive vessel that can attack air and ground targets.
- You can only field one Mothership at any given time.
- Projects a Cloaking Field capable of turning all nearby units and buildings invisible.
- Can open up a Vortex that swallows all air and ground units in the target area. The affected units will be invulnerable and unable to act for the duration.
- Its Mass Recall ability allows you bring friendly units to the Mothership’s location, either to summon forces immediately to defend against an enemy threat or to assault your opponent’s fortified positions.
- Combine with Carriers, Phoenixes, and Void Rays to form a powerful aerial strike force.
Countermeasures
VS Terran
- Launch Vikings to neutralize it. Their long firing range will prove ideal for this.
- Use the Ghost’s EMP round to drain the Mothership’s energy and also deal damage to its shields.
- Assemble a large force of Marines, with Stimpacks and Combat Shields, and preferably with Medivac support.
VS Zerg
- Spawn Corruptors, as their powerful blasts should help in bringing it down.
- Assemble a large force of Hydralisks and research the Grooved Spines upgrade.
- Swarm the Mothership with Mutalisks.
VS Protoss
- Build Void Rays, as they should be able to take it out quickly. Watch for enemy units supporting the Mothership.
- Use the High Templar’s Feedback ability to drain its energy and deal damage.
- Assemble a large force of Stalkers, preferably with Blink, and make sure you focus fire.

It became a fashion nowadays to QQ about P being the weakest race.
Just watch the latest GSL matches plz..
I hope it gets buffed whatever ways: Dmg increase, a weaker version from Planet Cracker ability or any other ways. It could even be used in 2vs2 or other team matches but in 1v1 it is truly something rare...too rare.
What i mean is that if you go for Mothership you are left with only having Voids, Phoenixes and Carriers where as all of them are easily countered by very little. Sure you have great harassment opportunities and sure, you can back it up with a strong gateway army, but it is never strong enough to compete with the other two tech directions, so chances are that you will be ripped to shreds before even fielding this bad boy.

No matter how big force you throw at an expansion or the mainbase.
1 Black hole to suck the enemy force in (if its small it can take alone)
2 Warp a big batch of your main force to deffend the mothership and base too.
100% sure guarantied protection for your production base (gateways, stargates, robotic stuffs)
Supercosteffective compared to keep units / cannons to protect base.
