General Strategy
- Support unit.
- Early-game anti-air; valuable for base defense.
- Can improve production speed with Spawn Larva ability.
- Can improve mobility by spawning Creep Tumors, which spread Zerg creep. Creep allows structures to be built farther away and makes Zerg move faster while standing on top of it.
- Can also use Creep Tumors to slow enemy expansion, as non-Zerg races can’t build on creep.
- Can heal units or buildings with the Transfusion ability.
- Can burrow with the Burrow upgrade.
Tech Lab Upgrade
- Burrow: Allows the unit to take cover underground, rendering it unable to attack. A burrowed unit is invisible unless revealed by detectors or effects.
Countermeasures
VS Terran
- Use high damage ground units, like Ghosts and Marauders, to quickly overwhelm a queen.
VS Zerg
- Quick, inexpensive, high-damage attackers like Zerglings can swiftly cut a Queen down if they are able to break through base defenses.
- Thanks to their resilience, Roaches can outlast Queens’ base defenses to reach and defeat them.
VS Protoss
- Phoenixes, particularly in groups, can harass and slay Queens functioning as base defenders with their Graviton Beam attack.
- Dark Templar can sneak into bases and quickly dispatch Queens provided they have no detection units (such as Overseers).

Btw where does blizzard have an overview of all buildings/structures build time and cost just like the overview of all units http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/game/unit/
My opponent laughed and he had a right to after they were all killed after 30 seconds with 14 collosus :(
And remember that queens can heal one another with the transfuse ability: just select all your queens, hit "t" and click on units low on life.
Just put your queen and the hatchery to the same hotkey. Double tap hotkey, V, click hatch and you're done. Easy mone- err larvae.
Also, according to the numbers on this site, when you hold your cursor over the movement speed, zergling and queen have the exact same acceleration and turn rate. Seems strange, as zerglings are definitely faster than queens, especially off creep.
yes! If you use a tunnel network you can negate the slow speed without creep, and they are quite good as well ^^ I just make 5 queens a hatchery all the time, and 20 queens are extremely powerfull XD
Yo #*### you dont go outside, go back to the hatchery and make me some larva.
