How do I create DXDiag and MSInfo files?

At times, our technical support department needs to see some diagnostics information about your computer in order to help you solve a problem. Please follow the instructions below to create your dxdiag and msinfo text files.

To obtain the systems diagnostic files, follow the instructions below:

Important Note: Please reboot your system prior to creating the dxdiag and msinfo files.

Creating your dxdiag file

1. Press the Windows Logo key + R key

2. Type dxdiag in the Run box that has appeared, and press Enter or click Ok



3. Click on the Save All Information button



4. Ensure the file is named dxdiag, and save it to your desktop



Creating your msinfo file

1. Press the Windows Logo key + R key

2. Type msinfo32 in the Run box that has appeared, and press Enter or click Ok

3. Click on File and then on Export



4. Ensure the file is named msinfo, and save it to your desktop

Please make sure that the file is saved as a .txt file and not a .nfo file.



Special MSinfo Instructions for Windows 2000 users:

1. Create the dxdiag and open the MSInfo32 program as above
2. Be sure to highlight the System Information in the top left
3. Go to the Action menu; choose All Tasks, Save As Text File
4. Save the file to your Desktop and name the file msinfo.txt.

iv saved both files that was named and cannot find the form to send them to blizzard absolutly stupid system why dont they ( blizzard ) include the form then give you instructions on what to do ????
