Incorrect realm list when attempting to connect to Battle.net

0 Keywords: Incorrect, realm, list, Battle.net
If you are playing StarCraft, Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition or Diablo II your realm list should be:
  • Europe
  • US East
  • US West
  • Asia

Warcraft III uses the following realm names:

  • Northrend
  • Kalimdor
  • Azeroth
  • Lordaeron

When attempting to connect to Battle.net, if your realm list differs in anyway from those given above, please reset your server list to the default values as indicated below:

Windows users:

Download, unzip and run this registry file to reset your list.

Macintosh OS X users:

  1. Click on the Go menu in the menu bar and select the Home menu item.
  2. Open the Library folder.
  3. Open the Preferences folder.
  4. Look for and delete the Preferences file and the Battle.net file if it is there.
  5. Now start the game and connect to Battle.net.

Macintosh OS 9.2.2 (and earlier) users:

  1. Double click on the hard drive icon on your desktop.
  2. Open the folder labeled System Folder.
  3. Open the Preferences folder.
  4. Look for and delete the Preferences file and the Battle.net file if it is there.
  5. Now start the game and connect to Battle.net.

If your realm list is still not displaying the correct realms, it's possible that a virus or third-party program is altering the list. Please first remove any third-party programs you may be using, before checking your system for viruses. If your virus detection software is not able to detect or clean the infected files, or if you do not have any virus detection software, then please try one of the following web-based virus scanners:
