Due to a change in the way some UK banks handle online payments, your Maestro debit card can no longer be used to automatically renew your subscription to World of Warcraft. As a result, at the end of your current billing period, you will need to actively purchase game time to continue playing.
From today, when using a Maestro card for any online payment, you will be required to enter additional security information. Because this system requests authentication for every purchase, it does not currently support recurring payments.
You can still use your Maestro card to pay for World of Warcraft game time (and other services), however you will need to do so after each game time period expires – you won't be able to do it while your game time is still active. Both World of Warcraft subscriptions and WoW Remote subscriptions are affected by this change.
