Adding, Managing and Downloading Games

To manage a Blizzard Entertainment game through Account Management, you must first add the game to your Battle.net account. You can do this one of two ways:

  1. If you currently own a copy of the game, simply Activate a Game Key.
  2. If you do not yet possess a copy of the game, you can simply Purchase a Digital Game. It will be automatically added to your account for you
Things to note
  • Once the game is registered, you can download and play the game from any computer!
  • Only one of each legacy title (in one language) can be added to a Battle.net account.
  • Once a key has been added to a Battle.net account, it cannot be added to another account.
  • The new Battle.net accounts are separate from classic Battle.net accounts for StarCraft, Warcraft III, and Diablo II.
  • To allow for the features we have planned, we've built the new Battle.net Account system from the ground up for World of Warcraft and StarCraft II as well as upcoming games like Diablo III.
  • In order to play Warcraft III, Diablo II, and StarCraft on Battle.net, you will still need to log in using your classic Battle.net login.
  • StarCraft and Diablo II users: The CD key needed for the digital download will be 26 alphanumeric characters in length. You can register an older 13 digit number StarCraft CD key or a 16 digiti Diablo II CD key via Battle.net Account Management and it will automatically be upgraded to the new 26 alphanumeric character CD key required for the digital download. The shorter keys will not work with digital download and must be converted.
Adding a Game

  2. Go To Manage Games and click Add or Upgrade a Game.
