All Rated Battleground Weeks Now 10v10

We’re in the process of developing a hotfix to push before next Tuesday that will change all 15vs15 rated battleground weeks into 10vs10 weeks.

Looking at participation, the 10vs10 rated battleground weeks have been far and away more popular than the 15vs15 weeks. The difference in organizational requirements as well as battleground map popularity have been a couple big factors that have led to the 10vs10 weeks seeing a great deal more action. By making this change and supporting the popular option we hope to encourage even more players and teams to participate, as they won’t have to wait out every other week, or struggle to beef up to 15 players to match the requirement.

We also have plans to adapt additional battleground maps in the future to work in the 10 player bracket to increase the variety of maps available.

So Blizzard you see a problem and you leave it you run you deal with it the easiest way? Is that your way? Creating one of the most popular world and now you are destroying part of it because it is easier for you?
You really gave up so fast? Read blizzard read all the comments here all of them are true read and act dont throw it all away.

First things first: remove Strand of the Ancients from Rated BGs. Then make the 10v10 / 15v15 "weeks" to last only friday-monday like it's with regular BGs. Tuesday-Thursday would be possible to play whatever you want (a bit longer Qs on some Battlegroups maybe, but it would remove the full week of waiting from the people playing only one of the brackets). Any thoughts?

@Gur: Stop suggesting to remove SotA. Just because you suck at it, dosen't mean it should be removed. SotA ain't gonna be removed, Cause it's good, and some of us likes it. So stop coming with these pointless ideas

Thanks blizz, What a great update. Thanks to this, our guild is now going to quit WoW, As our main focus was on 15vs15. People saying SotA is bad, needs to shut their mouths, SotA is very tactical, Maybe even more than any of the other bg's. CTF Bg's is just so dull and boring. Our guild prefer resource based BG's. Was fun playing wow for the 4 years i've been here. But after this, I think it's time to say goodbye

No Rated Arathi Basin? The only remaining good thing from the game we once loved? Well now I don't have to worry about my dissertation, since I'm not going to bother paying you anymore. Just as when you removed the Ranking System. Rated Battlegrounds made me come back; this shall reverse that decision.

After reading the comments I guess the general opinion of the WoW community seems to be quite obvious.

Here's a suggestion: Drop Strand of the Ancients from the rated BG's and you will get the crowds you want on the 15v15. Nobody likes sota and it's been like that since day 1. Arathi is a legend, it actually seems unbelievable and irrational that you would remove the possibility of playing the favorite map of so many all because of pride for your failure of a bg sota, when you could satisfy the community by removing sota from the rated BG's.

Oh come on... perhaps the reason 15mans aren't as popular are because of that abortion of a BG - Strand of the Ancients. You must know how retarded most PVPers think sota is, why not drop that from the rateds before ditching the whole bracket?

so it's like the first time you decide to directly delete somthing out of the game that feels un functional for you guys, and that within the 1st season it's out ? while lots of people rather enjoy the 15v15...
why the **** didn't you deletet WotlK in the first weeks... that is what wasn't functioning... and now there is a better concept and you deside to make it even more boring , yea kudo's for that

Rated battlegrounds where a nice dream for as long as it lasted. A diverse set of battlegrounds where strategy matters, where adapting to unforseen situations is the key.

The devs seem to be deaf and blind for all feedback from the community. Which is the only way this change can be explained.

Some of the top rated guilds atm (flatulent crabs, hydramist, etc) are heavily critizising this change. And quite a few are doubting wether they will continue to play rated BG's or wow alltogether.

I can say that i will 100% stop the second this goes live.

You're going to kill rated BG's and many PvP guilds if you remove 15 man bracket, once the novelty wears off people will realize how tedious and straigtforward CTF battlegrounds are and not many people will want to bother making a perfect 10 man setup to get end season rewards, as 5vs5 you will have few top teams going for easy tittles each season where as rest just won't bother.

Please Blizzard reconsider it dont #@*@ing the 15v15 bracket, only delete SOTA and all of we are very happy with that.

Delete 15v15 bracket and you have a lot of ppl very sad and very angry with this decision.

Its very clear to me what is the way to chosse
