BlizzCon 2011 Announced!

BlizzCon 2011 Announced!

What could be better than spending two days checking out the latest versions of Blizzard games, watching eSports tournaments, and chatting with developers alongside a few thousand of your closest friends? We couldn't think of anything either, so we're bringing BlizzCon back in 2011! That's right, BlizzCon will be returning to the Anaheim Convention Center on Friday, October 21 through Saturday, October 22, and will feature an exciting mix of discussion panels, tournaments, hands-on gameplay, contests, and much more. Check out the announcement press release, and keep an eye on www.blizzcon.com in the months ahead for further details, including ticketing information.

As far as Blizzcon ever being held outside of the US, I'd rather they just merged the US and EU forums, EU ones are a joke

If they offering a pet as they use to do on BlizzCon.
I hope its something uniqe this year, instead of a new whelp like in expansion or the current murlocs.

Now with Diablo 3 on horizon and next SC2 expansion why not a mini-infested Kerrigan or a Diablo 3 Cain vendor similar too the uniqe Etherium guy one can get from the loot Cards.

Something diffrent anyway. I post it here early so you can change your mind Blizzard :D if you intended to give us yet a murloc so you guys have time to change tha until Oct this year BlizzCon :P
Something uniqe.
Personally I would like a Mini-Garona with uniqe look with some martial art/assassin moves similar too Pandaran pet just so you know and with a uniqe look too :D

Totally agree with Agroxz! Thats mostly thier attitutude, althought a few of my guild members did purchase the Virtual Ticket and loved it, not the same experience imo! I dont see why they cant hold it more than once in different locations around world! Benefit for the many, not just the few!

Honestly I bought the Virtual Ticket last year and was really happy with the quality and the way it was organised. Ran smoothly and on schedule and the vods were a treat. Im sorry to hear your experience was less than good :(

Blizzcon will allways be in america ,the invetational is worldwide.

Announcement of 4th expansion ,release of diablo 3 end of this year and release of first expantion of starcraft end of this years so perhaps the dates we can buy them in the store :)
And perhaps some information of Titan the new mmorpg that will be released in 2013 ,the information was leaked so may as well inform the gamers :)

Why can't you run two..one in Europe. Why bother flashing it about the European forums when only the rich and insane ;3 would bother to fork out for the tickets, accomodation and what not.
Oh I forgot. It's all about money, sod us on this side of the pool.

I agree with most of the people here. Bring Blizzcon to Europe, instead of overweight overpowered US! Amsterdam RAI or Jaarbeurs in Utrecht would be a great place :P

why is blizzcon in the US again shouldnt it be in france or germany this year,
there is alot of people that carnt get to the US and alot of people who do not want to go to the US (the country is just crap) , if any1 from blizzard is reading this why dnt you hold the conventions in 2 places at the same time, this would make it easier for people from europe and the violent US to get to blizzcon and it would be alot cheaper too.

@Sprollmoo: Yes it is a @@@! country with all its violent's and more which i can't say in here :), but that doesn't mean that they don't make good game's.
P.S this is the EU vision of the game and maintained by the Europian department of blizzard entertainment in europe.

Sadly BlizzCon is out of reach for people outside of US. Yeah, there's that tiny ticket pool open worldwide and most of the time sold out in seconds. And yes, you can blindly pick a plane and hope for an available ticket on location - but in reality its a big gamble.
Sadly Blizz haven't came up with a proper solution yet, I don't think they just don't care but it's not really a topic on their priority list, because after all the US is maybe the biggest market state-wise.

BTW I agree with the idea of only one Blizzcon world wide plus the idea to have it close to the company, so this ones fine. The early announcement is great as well, but I would prefer to buy tickets now, so I can book a flight (cheaper) as well. Plus the last years vTicket quality was aweful. Latency troubles low bandwidth. HD wasn't even possible. Complete traces and speed tests were ignored by Blizz - I won't buy another one, because it was just a rippoff : Stream wasn't even available in the first two hours, endless buffering with the crappy player - later on, tournaments didn't match with the schedule and worst VoD was a joke. A serious joke because it didn't work at all as expected (random cuts, again videos didn't match, ...).
