So ...you create a Refer a Friend. You make the new account (on same battle.net or not). You add the timecode from this £/€4.99 deal to the new account. Your existing account gets 30 days free play from the RAF deal. You save £4.00 for the month, and if you desire to, you can powerlevel yourself a new alt to 60....

Make sure that when you create the RAF account you follow the instructions to the letter (ie - send trial key from the RAF section of the account management page, create the new account from that key, and only then add the key that comes with the £4.99 deal to the new account)

the only good idea in that case would be to make it free to download and only charge a monthly fee or make it free to play like DDO Online etc.
you can lower your prices for "original" as much as you can - this won't make everything you came up with lately a less of a failure.

if you make a new account but already have the expansions you have to pay again to upgrade.... so you are paying for something you already have... what a scam

Eh, that is just the original WoW, without any expansions? For a moment I was tempted to buy a fourth account, but the original WoW is only a tiny bit of the cost making that happen; without a matching reduced price of the expansions this offer doesn't help much for my scenario.

This offer is probably nice to attract brand new players, providing a bit of an extended trial, but you kindof need all three expansions to be able to fully enjoy the game nowadays, and the price of the original is only a tiny fraction of the cost of setting up a new cata-enabled account (and that is still excluding the recurring costs).

what they should do is make the game free to download and just a subscription monthly i mean a full set is still bout 90 euro's quite expensive to be "just" able to level to 85 and enjoy the whole content blizz created..

lol, blizz is getting desperate. then can lower the price all they wish, it does not hide the structural problem with the game. when the person gets to 85, and sees the problems with the game, they will see how it was an epic waste of money and epic waste of their time

Classic(4.99€ atm)+TBC(4.99€ atm)+Wrath(34.99€)+Cataclysm(34.99€).
The most funny in this is that Wrath cost is equal to Cata, if you ask me, a Battle Chest (including all) for a fair/standard price would have been more generous for a new player instead of giving them 1/4 of a game (and no I don't count updated classic content as cataclysm content).

Don't you get a free month with the original retail copy of WoW? Or is that only for new subscribers?
