What on earth is with all the rage comments below? people calling Blizzard a money driven company and that items such as this are overpriced? There is a huge appeal for collectables such as this and I mean huge, just ask the retailer in your local comicbook store. As for the price for what it is it really isnt expensive atall, if you see this as being a huge amount of money then you are going to poop yourself when you grow up.

@Darkblayder:
"Purchases made in China, Korea, and the European Union is all inclusive of pricing. As such it includes all shipping, taxes, VAT, customs and duties."

If its made in US, and weights 8.1 kg the shipping WILL be expensive.

@Gungnir: Well last time i ordered feathers from 3riversarchery.com (in us) the shipping, taxes, customs and such was about $60, and those feathers weighed WAY under 8kg and it was a small package. I also choose the cheapest shipping speed, (15-30 days).

And as i quoted, its not only shipping that make the price go up in EU vs in US.
And Lastly, its not $350, the price in US=$349.95 and for EU=$562.50, = it cost 212,55 $ more to buy it if you live in EU, thus i think its a reasonable shipping+taxes cost for a 8kg item (only 4 times more than my very light feathers).

@Isaak: I see no logic in your train of thought. The differences between buying this and buying a collectable car are obvious. The main one being you can actually USE the car if you need, or want to. Paying $350US for this paper weight can never be justified, whereas the price of a car can always be justified as people will always have a use for cars.

@Rorcanna: That isn't justifying the purchase, it is deciding to make the purchase. You cannot justify spending this much money on an item that has no real purpose. 'Decide' and 'Justify' have two different meanings. 'U mad?'

@Baegon: i do not think that you have the right to say whats "justified" and what is not.. people have their own way of think and there for also their own thoughts of what is "justified" to buy. if you do not want this item. then dont buy it.

@Violä: You don't have the right to tell me what I have rights to and what I do not. I will however politely ask you to please read what people say before you type replies in the future. I never said I had the right to say what is justified and what is not. I merely said spending this amount of money on an item that has no real use can never be justified, and I amn't the only person who has this opinion. I know everyone has their own way of thinking. This is my way of thinking. It doesn't matter how you try and explain or rationalize something; spending $350 on something that has no real use isn't justifiable. As for 'not liking' the item, I never said that. If anything, what I said was the same as me saying I didn't like the price of it.

@Baegon: And who are you to decide what is justified? Are you REALLY suffering from that big a head? Mind your own business, I'm sure A LOT of people wouldn't call it justified to spend money being subbed to a +12 game either. People with hubris such as yourself.

@Rorcanna: Also about your silly comparing with a car...you DO know that a car is a lot more expensive and will suck even more money out of the buyer, right? This hammer will however increase in value once they stop making it.

You're just dim. It's possible to justify buying stuff depending on how the INDIVIDUAL feels about it.

@Rorcanna: actually,, If it is Mass produced,, and not a limited ammoutn, then the Value over time Wont change much at all, And if WOW ever goes to being a Game of the Past,, then the hammer will become nothing but a Oversized Worthless doorstop.. Adding value to things that May or may not pan out is like counting chickens Before they Hatch. If your looking to buy Collectables that WILL be much more valuable in the futire, I wouldnt be looking into anything Gaming related.. But both arguements Are relative and the pros/cons.of each have merit. But in all, its To each thier own.. type thing,
Personnally If I had more money than i know what to do with then it would be Something Cool to own,, But if I had Bills to pay out and a limited Imcome and a budget to stay on,, No, i wouldnt buy it. Again, its everyones individual choice.
((( think I may actually MAKE one with Real Steel and iron and Leatehr wrapped handle,, inlayed Brass Etchings and Designs, with Knobs and such Also Solid inlayed Brass Ballbearings or something. Even Fill the Head of the hammer with a Lead plug Which Will slip from one side to the Other to maximize Impact,, Sort of a Double Slam on hit, ((( similar to a ballpein hammer)))
