World Premiere of Mists of Pandaria Opening Cinematic at gamescom 2012

The largest games convention on Earth is happening in Cologne, Germany from August 15 to 19 this year. Blizzard Entertainment is excited to announce our presence at gamescom 2012, where visitors will have the chance to witness the world premiere of the World of Warcraft®: Mists of Pandaria™ opening cinematic. The latest creation from Blizzard’s cinematics team will be shown on giant screens at our booth on Thursday, August 16, the first fully public day of the event.

We’re also pleased to announce that this year we’ll be showcasing World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, Diablo® III, and StarCraft® II: Heart of the Swarm™! Don’t miss your chance to experience the games first-hand and to meet members of the development teams. In addition, be sure to get creative and join in our famous dance and costume competitions.

Visit the Blizzard Entertainment booth in Halle 6.1 (B21) at the Koelnmesse in Cologne and prepare to be epically entertained. For more information on gamescom, check out the official site.

@Vestin: probaly before in the script they found items of the brewfest whit ilvl 470 so it will be like 1 sep to give the people enough time to lvl there charr and enjoy the brewfest.

I'm guessing that the opening cinematic will be revealed on the 15th, and the expected release date will be revealed on the 19th. If I had to make a guess at the date, it will be close to christmas, like the Cataclysm was. That should give people enough time to get over the "bling" of Diablo3, and be just in time for christmas sales.

in my opinion they are to quick with releasing it. They did the same with cataclysm. it didn't took 2 years between lich king and cata. That might be the reason why cata became boring so fast and it will happen with MoP too.
The first month it will look nice and cool but after that every1 will get bored of it. Blizzard's intention to change the game a bit is not so bad at all but in the end.... they defenitily changed too much:( I really miss the old bc days.

@Lifestorm: The game has been out for 1½ year but that doesn't mean that they have only been working on MoP during this time. They have probably been working on Pandaria for years. Looking at the beta and new stuff, the game looks good

@Lifestorm: Well you don't take into calculation that wotlk to cata was only 5 lvls and not 10. That's changing alot and besides I think many said before cata was only the first half of the 3rd expansion ;)!

Seeing the DS-LFR only happened x2 i would say its her/his PvP char.

So... They're not gonna get their dead-line I take? So they let us rot with a same patch... Keeping it as bad as it is? Is this the tactic for the future? Since I asume when they see they could pull it off once, they'll sure repeat it. THIS IS NOT GONNA WORK (o yes what does it matter they don't care about their EU costumers, US>EU) It's been confirmed. Yes, if they wish not to recieve more complain posts than that are needed they realy should reconsider to listen to what people say, instead of utterly ignoring it, especialy if they wish to maintain their players data-base. They're being blunt and cheap with their current actions and I hope for them they'll see that this won't work a 2nd time.

As for me my game time runs out soon and from what I've seen and played on beta I doubt I'll come back any time soon. Currently I'm more attrackted to RIFT than to WoW.

@Zainstorm: they're most likely preparing the PTRs for 5.0.x so the chance of a 4.4 to show up from nowhere is minimal.

Got to be honest, I'd rather wait and be suprised when I actually buy the game, but then again I don't have to watch any of the thousands of recorded streams of the cinematic that will inevitably follow on Youtube...

Also "who cares GW2 soon" fanboys/girls... GW2 is not gonna kill WoW... Age of Conan was meant to kill WoW... Rift was meant to kill WoW... SWTOR was meant to kill WoW... WoW is like Charlie Sheen. Still standing, funnier than ever, and most importantly, Winning :)

Why all the "Who cares, GW2 soon" comments?
Why wouldn't you care about the game that is for sure gonna be better then other mmorpgs, just because new one is coming out.
It was like this with SWTOR." Wow killer, who cares about wow, swtor is here". But look now. Most of you were wrong, just as you are now.
