Unique Challenge Mode Gear Effects

Unique Challenge Mode Gear Effects

Challenge Modes are a new feature in Mists of Pandaria that allows coordinated 5-player groups to jump into Heroic dungeons and attempt to set time-trial records. These blindingly fast times are displayed for all to see, but if being famous on the interwebz wasn't enough, the groups who can achieve gold medals are also awarded with unique gear looks for use in Transmogrification-with a twist. These gear sets behave like nothing you've seen in the game before, activating and reacting to their wearer's combat actions.

Check out the unique armor effects below-we think you'll want to grab some friends and give Challenge Modes a shot.

Death Knight

Druid

Hunter

Mage

Monk

Paladin

Priest

Rogue

Shaman

Warlock

Warrior

Druid > Mage > Lock > the rest...

I feel so sorry for my monk friends :P
Oh well this issue has been going on from the start of wow there will always be a class that get's an ugly set or more.
I am a lock now and 9 out of 10 times they make good looking sets for locks. Lucky enough everyone can get theirself a good looking outfit by Transmo. :)

@Clyra: i somewhat agree with you, we can all get nice looking gear through transmo yeah, but NOT with nice effects like the challenge gear was supposed to give, so the challenge gear effects should have been made awesome for ALL classes and not just a select few.

Hopefully they will make the druid armor change the way you look in cat/bear/moonkin form too, otherwise I will feel kind of cheated. The only looks-changing thing we have right now is Incarnation, and that's only for 30 seconds. They did a really good job on the druid armor and it would really be a disappointment if we barely got to see it!

honestly im pretty disappointed with the warrior set, it looks kinda cool but really not something i'd go out my way to get, i prefer how i look now an the only ones that really call out to me is the shaman and lock sets druids not bad either but overall imo i was hoping for alot more from these and while im here, horde stop hating on each other and place your hate where it belongs, with the alliance! FOR THE HORDE!!

i agree with you decros i am a bit dissappointed too the death knight gear just looks boring and the rest of tha armors too the shaman set and warlock set are cool and the monk and rogue sets look cool but the monk, rogue and warlock sets don't do much and it looks like they have mainly focused on the shaman to make it cool rather than doing stuff for all the classes

@Volcanos: yea it's like they had that one great idea for a shaman set and then realised they would need sets for all classes so they just improvised most of the other stuff just so everyone had 1

@Volcanos: Wait, did you just say the monk set looks cool and the dk set didnt? You must have gotten those 2 confused. The dk set is in my oppinion the 4th or 3rd best, the monk one is just so plain and boring. Warlock, DK, Pally looked amazing

I really like these affects but I'm not too keen on the appearance of the Shaman set, a lightening styled set would be my style but then again the majority of TBC's shaman sets were lightening/thunder based. Will Blizzard be working on the raid sets' affects or will the sets not have them?

I really don't like how the priest set looks. It's as if Blizzard brought a dead mantid to Lady Gaga and told her to make a dress out of it.

Mage, DK, Rogue and Paladin look the best right now imo. I'd happily level my mage from 85 to 90 just for that gear.
The monk and hunter gear could use some more effects though.

@Alestorm: and while im at it "less is more" when your a monk , right now i look like some sort of armorered up heavy knight , blizzard come on im a monk , monks need freed up movement so something less heavy looking pls, also when are you going to add invisibility to transmogrification? at least then i could lighten up the burden that way

i think some need some extra work.. animations on the monk gear is hardly noticeable, as are a few others.. just pointing out that some animations can use a slight upgrade so you can actually see something happenening without trying to trigger the animation 20 times in order to see it... most of em look epic.. rogue, paladin and and warlock cant wait till i have em :D

Compared to some of the other sets I think that the priest set is so boring and bland. The colors are just dull and not interesting and so are the light effekt... wish I was a mage or druid at this point

Why are feral druids complaining? No we won't be able to see your "epic" gear animations in challenge gear, but !@#$ that you're a cat. If you want animations while wearing challenge gear, i want to turn into a cat while wearing challenge gear.
