Build Big, Win Big Mega Bloks Contest

Build Big, Win Big Mega Bloks Contest

Everything is in the name. Announcing the 'Build Big, Win Big' contest, one of the largest giveaways we've ever done. We even pulled an original World of Warcraft brown Collector's Edition from the Blizzard Vaults! From now until December 10, take your Mega Bloks World of Warcraft sets and stack, rearrange, redesign and recombine ‘em into never-before-seen creations.

We want to see how big, impressive and creative you can be with the World of Warcraft Mega Bloks. Once you're ready, snap some pictures of your masterpiece and submit them through our official "Build Big, Win Big" Facebook Contest Page. The form will ask for your name, the name of your creation, and its recipe (ex: Deathwing Stormwind Assault, Goblin Zeppelin, Gnome Flying Machines). There will be 16 lucky winners.

In the United Kingdom you can find the products at ToysRUs, Smyths, Argos or at Argos Online.

Official Rules:

All official contest rules are listed at our official "Build Big, Win Big" Facebook Contest Page.

How We’ll Judge:

Each week entries we’ve received will be posted to the official World of Warcraft Facebook page for the world to see. Winners will be determined by a panel of esteemed Blizzard brick fans and judged on originality, creativity and size of build. Note that only entries which exclusively contain Mega Bloks World of Warcraft sets will be considered valid. We’re sure the existing sets are enough to spark your creativity, so at least for this contest no throwing other toys, crafts, or cats into the mix!

That's it, so get to building!

Nice idea to launch project with sweet prizes, especially the collectors editions and TCG as these if you don't have them are a pain to aquire( however i got the Sindragosa set and the paint job and pieces were terrible and are going to have to be repainted and glued in places before it will look nice, but as much as i hate to admit it a yellow Arthas would be funny, but not as detailed as this perhaps. personally i think i would have preferred a range of high detailed statuettes of the dragons of wow and our fav chars. but hey I'm fussy.

I personally believe mega blocks was the better choice over lego for this, lego may be more fun to build but mega blocks has a lot more detail in the figures, you wouldn't want a yellow Varian now would you?

And the whinging was epic.

You kids should really look for a new game to pester, since you're obviously "too cool" for WoW. I myself think that Mega Bloks looks MUCH better than anything Lego would have conjured up with their "art style".

I would like to see the comments here if they had went with LEGO instead. I believe there would have been more "Way to go, Blizz." and less "How dissappointing, Blizz. Now I know WoW is for kids" kind of comments.

Why not build it in Minecraft or with regular Lego`s? Troll.... not only are they "stealing" the lego idea but they are asking the wow fans to make them new ideas for new sets? lol nice thinking warcraft makers :D:D:D

@Haajib: Sadly, you are partly right. Patents only last for 25 years and can't be renewed, and this year is the 50 annerversary for LEGO.
It's sad that Blizzard went cheap with this. If they chose LEGO they would hit a bigger target group and it would last longer than this. I doubt WoW Mega Blocks will last for more than a year or so. =/

with such prices on the mega blocks world of warcraft - a single figurine cost £7, DW assault cost £90 - so to win, would have to spent at least £300 to get anything that looks cool, takes space and collects dust - i will use game emote: No, not going to happen.

by the way, tesco also has it.

Basically it's "Spend lots of money, get lots of blocks, build big, and win".

I'd love to enter but I'm not wasting my money on something i'll never use again.

I'm terribly disappointed that a contest which such good prices comes down to how much money you can spend on Mega Bloks. Too be honest, I doubt that it's even legal where I come from, as no contest can demand you buy a certain product. In this case it's pretty obvious you need to buy lots of Mega Bloks to be able to participate. It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, Blizzard :(

I'd love to take part but I doubt I'd be able to make anything impressive with the single set that I own!

A lot of goodies to get indeed. Unfortunately I've never collected much of the medieval theme of the other well known brand of these blocks.

Looks cool, that's alot of prizes too. Even the first vanilla Collector's Edition to be released since the vanilla WoW release. Too bad I'll never be qualified with any of that, in this contest.
