World pvp is back alive again with the cataclysm launch, however the battleground queues were horrible before the launch, unsure how it will be now though.

are horde good in arena aswell? , did they control WG alot back in wotlk?

The main reason we dominated WG was because we were twice a bigger number than the alliance, we had some top arena players but as far as I read at least half of them left already.
