A couple of days ago i bought WOW Cataclysm at my local game pusher, and i was really looking forward to try it out. After a little while trying to activate it i realized that i had to buy "Warth of the lich king", so i did that digital. Now everything should be allright, but when i try to activate Cataclysm i still says: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An error has occurred. You cannot claim this key at this time. If you recently purchased a digital upgrade for World of Warcraft®, please wait until the upgrade process is completely finished and try again. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is that suppose to keep happening 2 days after i bought Lich king? Under my "transaction history" it says that i have both udgrades "The Burning Crusade" & "Wrath of the Lich King" Thx Thomas. |

Hi there, i have got the exact same problem. I am able to play WotLK content, but i get the same error as you. I have been waiting 68 hours til now, and no change. I noticed that under 'transactions' WotLK is labeled 'queued'.
Can we get a blue response? Do we just have to wait it out, or do we have actively to something to fix this? |

Hi.
Yes, mine was labeled 'queued' yesterday to, but now it says 1, so i should be fine but it still isin´t working. |

Yes, the message is correct Broadland. If you purchase something from us online, your payment has to clear before we can allow you to access the full product. So, when you tried to upgrade Cataclysm with your retail key, your account was still effectively a Burning Crusade account pending payment approval.
An electronic upgrade to Cataclysm would have been accepted, but it would be subject to the same approval process as the previous expansion. The only part of this that wasn't working as intended was the wait time. Normally, the process should take no longer than 72 hours, but due to the millions of people trying to upgrade their accounts at exactly the same time, there were some technical issues with the online services which in turn caused some backlogs and delays. I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused by that, but thankfully your issue was promptly resolved once everything calmed down. |
