Good day to you Argent Dawn it has been an awful long while since the last time I have posted on this esteemed board.

I have been down with the flu lately and I am passing a large part of the day reading www.wowpedia.org and I am intrigued as to how the players would describe their characters methods of fighting. For example.

Thrall is a natural-born leader. He is rarely alone, and in battle often spends much of his time directing his troops. In solo combat his tactics are subtle. He mixes a judicious amount of melee with powerful spellcasting.

So how would you describe your characters method of fighting?
Eyil

Eyil most likely has a habit of confronting her adversary directly if she must fight. Ambushes are dishonourable, after all! Eyil uses all of her body to fight, rather than her sword and shield, so it's not uncommon to find her flinging herself at her enemies to knock them down. She prefers agility over brute strength, which is for the best as she can't take many hits with her size. :P Naturally, Eyil also uses holy energy a lot when she fights.

Depends on the enemy really. If its some small time hustler Valven has no intentions of fighting, he usually just throws some cantrips and retreats. Not worth the effort or loss of life.

If it's more in the category of serious fights.. I'd imagine that he'd start with bashing off his most powerful spells to see what the enemy can handle and / or to give them a warning.

But all in all, Valven would most likely just throw some weak spells and retreat. He feels that a mage has to depend less and less on magic the more and more power he gains. That way, he ain't pushed over, should magic fail.

Tsathoggua? Endurance and the trollish tendency to fight well past normal tolerance of injury [aftr all, they can eventuaqlly regenerate most injuries, so why fall back from risk of harm?].

Gnapoleon? Leaping to the table, thence to the door, slashing the rope so that the chandelier plummets, lifting him to the rafters as he holds the severed rope. From there he leaps down to the window, kicking it open, swinging his musket from his shoulder, and shoots the candle, knocking it into the casks of powder, before leaping backwards out the window into the sea below.

Scurvy? Slow, plodding, determination to board the vessel and man by man, cut downthe defenders. That's what they deserve for having tried t board a ship with him aboard.

Fyne? Cobat? No, no. Though whilst they are disracted fighting someone else, he might perform some impromptu surgery.... a quick slice, for a look at their kidneys.

Typhor rarely fights because it's hard to use the shadow without it resulting in death >_>

However he has done this for many years so if he -had- to fight, he would always pick a nice long range, preferably one where they can't see him. Nice little ritual circle on the ground, bit of demonic chanting. Watch them try to resist, and eventually have them crumble into a heap on the floor in pain.

However Typhor is a kind old Orcy and it would be rare for him to do such a thing.

Tak'nar is a excelent warrior, and have been tested on various times. He usualy leads his own clan, being at the front as much as he can. Tak'nar uses different ways of melee combat to beat down his enemies. It would be unwise to get close to Tak'nar's axe when he is in combat.
Nayte
Argent Dawn
Nayte
70 Worgen Mage

Nayte prefers to directly overwhelm his enemies in combat by conjuring up pillars of flame with the double intent of incinerating his foes and protecting himself at the same time. If caught in melee? He'd rely on his fangs and claws to adopt a more brutal approach. After all, his affliction certainly has its perks!

He prefers honourable combat, but isn't afraid to get his hands dirty for the greater good either.

Either:

Shoot them, and run away.

Kick them in the balls, and run away.

Run away, and don't look back.

Or, in cases where running is not applicable, send the freshest and most hopeless Lance Constable to provide a distraction, and then run.

Ranfel prefers not to fight, but if fighting is necessary he'll try and restrain his opponent if possible, occasionally using threats from his advantageous position to discourage further fighting. If it comes down to using weapons, he prefers daggers and shortswords over any other weapons, though he does carry a few throwing knives to allow him to at least weaken, if not disable, enemies that would pose a huge threat in close-quarters (ie: heavily armoured and/or large weapon-wielding folk).

Although, more recently (due to the unfortunate circumstances under which he became cursed) he tends to combine his own cunning with the Worgen form's strength, and is somewhat less mindful of getting injured in the process.
Elanúre

It depends on the fight, and the opponent, but Elanúre is first and foremost a shifter. She'll always prefer to fight in her feral form. Anything that stomps through Kal'dorei forests and isn't supposed to be there will be followed silently, hunted down, and ambushed at the right moment. She's not one to make a fight overly long and messy; she will always go for the throat :P

For Hare he would generally try to shoot from where he can't be seen, but if that's not an option then it'll be a case of fast, usually non-fatal wounds until there's a gap in their defence in which he can stabbity stab stab.
Ashfingers
Argent Dawn
Ashfingers

Difficult question.

Ashfingers has a body build that suggests she could break someone's nose if she did throw a punch. While being a very experianced caster she rarely bolsters her magic to a degree where she ends up blowing things up or freezing the life out of people. Ashfingers's approach to hostile situations is much like Valven's, deter the foe with illusions and cantrips, or engage in melee combat. Usually with her staff or the cutlass she carries whilst uniformed.

However when combat is unavoidable she works a bit like a magical juggernaut. She will keep assaulting the foe with a myriad of lethal incantations and try to avoid closing the gap between herself and the offender. Which is a tactic that brings both strength and weakness.

Gorron tends to begin his fight's by hurling himself into the enemy using a combination of his body weight and the weight of his armour to throw the opponent to the ground. If after being slammed by about half a ton of orc doesn't pulp your body to a fine paste he begins opening up with his plague based arsenal of strikes. Given his status as first amongst Acherus' Plague Knights (for details consult the old Ebon Blade Project) his arsenal of magical plagues is massive.

Against foes with the power of a titan he has a special tool he employs. The Ebon Plague which is capable of decaying and rotting away anything it comes in contact with rapidly, undergoing months, years, decades of break down within a few days, once contacting the foes flesh it spreads through the body via the blood stream eventually reducing them to a skeleton. (Yes I devised an anti-loller/anti-god moder weapon. Don't hate me for it please!)
