I'm ashamed to admit it, but I just got hacked.

The authenticator I ordered months ago had been stolen in the mail somewhere between London and Cape Town. I simply didn't bother to get myself another one, nor did I bother to get a mobile authenticator. Sitting where I am now, I wish I had.

Tens of thousands of gold pieces stolen not only from me, but from my guild bank as well - I'm the guild leader - as well as all my gear sold off and most of the guild's tabs cleared out as well. Sure, it'll all get replaced in "up to two working days", but it really has spoilt my day quite badly.

I report all the gold spammers I see, and I've never got one of those phishing emails. I've never bought gold online, and I've never been scammed in any way. How could this happen to me? It doesn't matter, it did happen.

Do yourself a favour and get an authenticator, even if you think you'll never get scammed.

On the plus side, I'm loving the naked look... Anyone for a random heroic?

ehm - check your pc for any keyloggers too....

South Africa gold farmers doesnt have the same ring to it as Chinese gold farmers.. :(

Glad to say that the men in white coats at Blizzard managed to hook me up with all my stuff back. As well as all my guild's stuff.
