Topic How often do you come across a PVP Trinketer?
Hi, I don’t often come across enemy (Horde) players with a PVP Trinket and when I do it often surprises me and I kinda like WTF and dunno what to do.
I am a Sub Rogue level 73.
I usually start with Premeditation when close
Get behind target (don’t use my shadowstep yet incase I needs it)
Then either Ambush (melee), Garrote (caster or Rogue), Cheap Shot (if I need to)
Immediately followed by Kidney Shot then
Ambush or Garrote and Kidney Shot wear’s off….
By now the target is either dead or just needs blind followed by Evis
So when some idiot decides to actually carry a trinket and trinkets my Kidney Shot it kinda spoils my day.
I am asking you more experienced players do I need to worry about this or could I maybe do the following:
Kidney Shot…….. He Trinkets
I then Blind
And then get my second Kidney Shot in to carry on my rotation.
Will my Kidney Shot cool down in time?
Your thought please,
Thanks in advance.
problem solved ? :) you still got kick/disarm/cloak/vanish/prem to reset them again etc etc

Your cooldown will not be the problem. Hitting diminishing returns is worse and that is more likely the scenario making your second kidneyshot nothing but a spellbreaker or a complete waste of combo points.
EDIT: And if you use garrote on another rogue as starter and he trinkets your first kidney shot your gonna be in a world of hurt after the second cheap shot.

In order to get a full kidney shot, you'll need to sap after you blinded his trinket. Don't forget cheap shot and kidney shot share the DR so ambush or garrote might be a better choice.
Don't expect to be able to kill everyone so easily with that simplistic rotation. It might happen at your lvl, but that will change.
And to answer your first question: Everyone's wearing a PvP trinket, atleast in arenas and battlegrounds.
Thanks for your replies.
Firstly I have never considered diminishing returns before, yep I know I am newbish, for now anyway.
I see from the little research into DR I might consider getting an addon for it or at least follow your advice and not use Kidney Shot a second time.
Yes Yarn it is a simplistic rotation or more so an example of the type of approach I have taken in the past which up to now has been quite successful but as you rightly point out as I level things a gonna change.
Snosaga, I have been thinking about this and what do you think about opening with Ambush and then Dismantle, Evis then Blind.
I only used Garrote as an opener on Rogue to force him to take more time vanishing and using his Cloak of Shadows.
The way I look at is this the more an enemy Rogue has on CD the less options he has.
Who's the idiot? Him for using it or you for not being prepared for it?
I'm gonna go with... You.
