Combat PVP. Slow or fast offhand?
|
|
Fast offhand means combat potency generates more energy but a slow offhand means more damage from killing spree and the combat mastery mod.
Lay some sneaky rogue wisdom on me. Lay it thick. |

I'm still a novice when it comes to this but i believe according to EJ, Slow MH/Fast OH the combat mastery is the worce stat when it comes to combat.
Also don't forget killing spree has a cooldown you will be relying on that fast off-hand most of the time. I know nothing about combat PVP only PVE so take me with a pinch of salt. Toccs EDIT: Hrrumf where can i find that blue post? |

Option 3 Is weapon swap a slow offhand in for killing sprees.

Only an option, never had a big issue with weapon swapping and the incurred GCD, I see it as energy regain time, and when playing pvp combat before I KShot > Weapon swap > Kspree.

Sure, but you don't *have* to weapon swap, even if you have slow off hand in your bags ready and waiting for when you want a really big Kspree.

@ Toccs:
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/blog/1478991#blog here you go. At some point GC statest that Blizz wants to make it clear combat should be using fast offhand. Another source (can't recall atm) said something about bugging combat mastery, as it is considered an unworthy stat at present, and they want it to be more prominent. |

You have to take that in context a little, there has been confusion due to combats mastery hinting towards combat rogues maybe wanting to start using slow offhands.
Also, just because they say that, doesn't mean you are obliged to use a fast off hand all of the time, if I was playing pvp combat I would still swap in a slow off hand when I wanted big fat killing sprees. |
