Welcome to the Blade's Edge Community! Blade's Edge is an EU PvE realm with a well established community. If you are thinking on migrating here, I suggest reading the following information first about the realm's pve progression, the various guilds, the pvp activity of the realm, community/events etc.
Blade's Edge PvE progression Blade's Edge has established a pretty decent progression and is residing at No. 188 on the EU realm ranking (tier11 overall).(Source: http://www.wowprogress.com/realms/rank/eu) We've also established the 174th place on the tier 11 10-man EU realm rankings and the 157th place on the tier 11 25-man EU realm rankings. If you are looking for a progressing realm with a good spirit of competition, then Blade's Edge might just be the place for you! For more information about the guild rankings on Blade's Edge, I'm pleased to redirect you to Redskye's progression threads. 10-man : http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/859357208 25-man : http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/859137199 Guilds of Blade's Edge Blade's Edge has a variety of guilds at the moment. Are you looking for a social guild to chat with other players whilst gaming? Or are you rather the type of player that likes to progress through all the new content Cataclysm has to offer us with great dedication? Whatever type of guild you are looking for, Blade's Edge has them all! For more information about the various guilds you can visit Charmas's thread about the guilds of Blade's Edge : http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1172958288 PvP on Blade's Edge First of all, Blade's Edge is a PvE-realm. But that doesn't mean the players on the realm are not into PvP! Although there aren't many dedicated PvP guilds out there, we sure have a couple of PvE guilds that take the PvP aspect of the game pretty serious. Unfortunately, not much can be said about the alliance/horde ratio, because not much information can be found. However, the most recent update dates from September 2010 and is pretty accurate. Back then, the Alliance was at 62% and the Horde was at 38%.(Source : WoWpedia.org) This has most likely changed by now, since the Horde wins Tol Barad most of the time.(correct me if I'm wrong) Ofcourse, we can come to the conclusion that the Horde favours PvP more than the Alliance does. Overall, if you are looking to join a PvP guild, I'm pleased to say there are a few guilds that do the occasional premade rated BG. Ofcourse, if you're only looking for PvP fun, I suggest you go check out the PvP realms, but you're always welcome here. Blade's Edge Community / Events Blade's Edge has (in my opinion) one of the greatest communities of all EU realms (I've been on about 5 realms now). The majority of the players residing here are very friendly and helpful. Ofcourse, you'll find the occasional trolls on Blade's Edge as well, just like any other realm. But the difference is that here, the majority of said trolls know when to stop trolling. Once and a while, there's this one troll that just doesn't know when to stop. But said troll won't last long here. (winkwink) Blade's Edge has also had some great events in the past. Unfortunately I can't link any threads about the events because they were all on the old forums. There will always be someone that's willing to create a community event for the people of Blade's Edge though. If you're new here, Don't be afraid to ask any question, we don't bite ;). Update : Economy here is very competitive and pretty much garaunteed whatever you need, it will be on the AH. Conclusion : If you are looking for a new realm to play some PvP, progress with great dedication through new raiding content, or if you just want to socialize and be a part of a great community, then Blade's Edge is just the realm for you! |

Last time i checked the Balance on this server was pretty close to 50/50 erring on alliance side. Might have changed a little but i think most people would agree its one of the best balanced servers around.
There are pleny of people on alliance side that love pvp, we are just a little more spread out. TolBarad is a bad example, as whoever wins can hold onto it for a long time, alliance help all night last night, but thats just down to poor design really. Main thing is there is always a very good turn out for TB and i dont think there is much of a queue to get in on either side now they fixed that lame ass exploit of homour. Community wise, i agree community spirit is tops. Very little trade spam and most people are pretty grown up (i said "most", not "me"). There are some great progress guilds on both factions and some more easy going raid guilds too. Economy here is very competitive and pretty much garaunteed whatever you need, it will be on the AH. |
Don't you migrants be ringing my doorbell for helpful information, you'll probably end up just getting a cuddle |

I'm playing right now on this realm. I haven't got very far, so i can't judge anything. Is this realm strong and friendly? I hope there wont be nor there isn't any massive leaving or the atmosphere that wants you to leave? It's my first time playing in official, Blizzard realms, so i really want to choose the best PVE realm and at some higher level i dont want to migrate or just start again in new realm. I see there's a lot of hussle around about the last expansion's bad side. So could you please give me an advice so i wont be disappointed in the near/far future?
Cheers! |

people here arent friendly and they don't like each other. that's why when some guild falls apart many people are transferring away from the realm instead of joining another guild. oversized egos and genuine belief that they are very best wow players is widespread here. with people leaving wow on a daily basis because cata failed to meet expectations and was focused on revamping leveling experience instead of providing high-end content this realm is as good as dead. gradually guilds will get smaller and smaller, some will merge and then they will get smaller and smaller and fall apart, people will be transferring off and one day you will log in and see dead world. either you will stay here on a dying realm or go to a living one where you won't get accepted to any high end guild as a new player. unfortunately wow is going downhill.
