[Guide] Enhancement Shaman PvP for beginners and others
|

Don't go 1 vs 1.Find another caster teammate slow/root him and use lava burst LB adn every shock in your arsenal.I love the fact that enhancement has pretty good range damage. |
Enhancement can easily beat any blood dk. At solo fights only hunter rogue and feral are the problem for enh shaman and if you respec for solo(focused insight and nature's guardian) then you can beat them too. Atm enhancement is one the best pvp class at solo fights. I dont have much exp at 3v3 arena for now thats why I cant talk much about it. |

what about expertise guys??? we beed any? how much etc.
that tread is awesome,it helped my too much. |
I don't know how you play but I outdps any Blood DK that i face in 1v1. Running away from them will most likely make players look really stupid as they die with no mana left. This is not good advice. |
Again, this is crap to me. I do outdps and outheal Blood DKs as a matter of fact, and my guess to why you don't is because you don't have the gear to do the same. They are definitely not impossible to kill, but they take a long time to get down, and they have been nerfed recently. The only spec that they have that is hard to beat (assuming the DK player isnt an idiot) is Unholy. It angers me quite alot when players give eachother advice on how to play vs certain classes when the facts are not straight. |

just look at my spec and glyph, i'm a killer in BG's even with low gear (i hate gemming for casters doh, might need some change) this is my secondary spec just for amusement in pvp

Tbh this guide is mainly for beginners such as myself and since I only do random bgs, I will never outgear many people, so any advice on going 1v1 is helpfull...

Most Enh shaman are pro's at 1v1, if you know what you're doing ofcourse... sometimes its's very class dependant and the same with gear because you could be in full cata gear and be destroyed by a ruthless geared sub rogue (mainly because blizz buff all classes except us lol) anyhow the trick to 1v1 is your stoneclaw totem... drop it and drop it often, dont forget to re drop your str of earth totem though. Enhance is all about who you're dueling and knowing what they are going to do... if they need to be purged then do it.. if you need to drop a totem to ground that op frost bolt then do it. If you read up you see the same guy saying he owns blood dk's this happens to a lot of us but there will always be the one blood dk that will just not die and this is another shame on blizzards part... kiting is sometimes a good idea and make sure you get your annoying flame stacks up then whne he DG's you and trust me he will just lava lash and ss him then fs and run off again...this is effective cause you get your mana back from melee attacking him and you do damage :) you stay too close though and most likely he'll wreck you :). I think you'll find the only classes willing to duel you are rogues and ranged classes like hunters who love to kite and rogues just love to open and then run off and leave you bleeding to death whilst slowed :). Not much you can do against these type of *cough* cowards lol but i find it helps to be persistent and your FS root helps alot with hunters. Rogues are my only concern when dueling. I don't duel Blood DK's or healers who just try to waste my time while i'm waiting for my BG or arena to pop lol. I'm no pro but i duel alot of different people on my realm and i'm about 50/50 for my win/loss mainly cause different people play different ways. You could duel one feral who kits and heals or one feral who relies only on his ability to pop his bear form at the right time (tip: get gladiatorlosa and when it shouts frenzied regeneration... don't hit the bad bear form druid :) hitting = rage gain = health and if you run away they cant get health and are stuck with a dumb look on their face) sorry bout that rant but i hate druids so so much. after all that typing my last piece of advice is get to know the people you are fighting and keep at it. Get to know the different classes, play different classes and learn the abilities. If you think you're gonna lose to the guy in better gear then there is no point in fighting them :) Good luck and have fun that's why we're all shaman at the end of the day right? |

FROSTBRAND OFFHAND IMBUE CHANGE: Man, I edit your awesome macroses and merge it. So if you will use my version, you won't need two macros, look: /castsequence reset=3 [@none] Frostbrand Weapon, Flametongue Weapon So put it to hotkey and use with ONE key. P.S. Sorry for my english :) |
My point was, they don't hurt you more than you heal with MW5 procs now that we get stacks from absorbed attacks. You should be on Blood DKs like glue and keep healing yourself with MW5. They are tough and slow to kill, but if you keep your heals up then you are home free. Running away from them will have the opposite effect, as you won't be able to heal as often and you will have to waste mana on doing it - wich will most likely end on him outlasting you. |

I'd recommend not doing 2v2s as enhancement, rather go 3v3

Came for the guide, stayed for the guide.... and maybe a bit for the trolls, but who knows!
I learned a lot from this, so you have my deepest gratitude for taking your time to write this guide, even though it's 1.5 years old by now! Took me about 2 hours to read through, cause I needed to make sure of every detail (I'm very picky, so I do some background-research as well! xD). But in the end... I feel now more enlightened than ever... I've played my shaman for soon half a year, and just now decided to give it a nudge with PvP. Once again, thank you very much for the guide. Bookmarked and prone for a new readthrough, when I wake up again (It's 4AM here!). You're baws <3 |

Good Evening fellow Shamans.
First of all very nice guide and I learned alot from it. But still have some info questions, just for my own clarification that im doing it rigth. My main spec is resto ( thats why i still have some gear with intelect on it, didnt like ele spec so i chooce Enha later and i find it very fun ) I just wanna make sure my opener is correct. Ofc first i drop totems, then i use Stormstrike, Lava Lash and FS, usually mob dies before SS come out of CD. Is this the right way to go, i meen SS, LL, and then keep FS on the target? ofc with CCs and stuff i have to control the target. Also i know some more abilities are about to come when i hit higher leveles. And also if any1 has some more trick and tips for newformed shaman, please share it. Thank you all in advance for your answers. |
