With your obvious disregard for this thread, you should probably stay away from it for your own sake.

Unless you have something constructive which would be welcomed. I am in no way unmistakable.

As the title says and as I said in the beginning, this "guide" is for people starting with Enhancement in PvP (not just arena). There is enough general information for these kind of people I think.

I do not understand why would you make a guide yourself if you are not knowing things yourself... How can you help others, if you give wrong information, on one thing or another...

Also, why write so much useless information? :S

1. Can you tell me what is wrong then?

2. The all the info you find useless is there because it is scattered all over the place on forums and this is the way to keep it in one thread for people to read it here instead of asking for it 100 times a week.

Thanks dude! this info really helped me alot! You dont even have to read all the info, he put the titles so you can scroll to find the info u need. this guy done a brilliant job and put effort and time into this thread so why cant you give him some respect?

You said you wanted it to be detailed. Sure let go for that but this is over-detailed.

Reduce the gear section to a simple list of what stats you are aiming for. E.g:
resi: ~3k
hit: ~4% spellhit
etc
etc

No one cares about your keybindings

No one wants to see you make a macro which simply does /startattack and then X skill.

You do not need that Add-On list. just say Add-Ons are nice but not really needed and then link to the UI...

No one wants to read like 4k words where 2k are redundant...

I just dinged 85 today and was looking for some pvp info. I found this thread very useful, so thanks a lot for taking your time to write all this.

To those who say this is a bad guide: As long as you're not saying what's wrong with it, you're not helping anyone.

I just said what's wrong with it. Half is redundant.

Ty so much for this guide! A lot of very helpful information. Awesome that you want to listen to people and change things that are wrong - cata is still new and there are a lot of things we can't be 100% sure about yet.

Don't understand the criticism. Of cause there are parts of it that are trivial for some people, but as you said in the beginning, this is a way of collecting all those same Q&As that this forum is flooded with. Using a lot of you key-bindings now. It's gonna take a year or two for me to get used to lol xD

Anyone know if DK/Enh is any good? Me and my friend wanna try arena.

By the way, a fair warning when it comes to addons, be careful with addons such as Mik scrolling combat text, etc as these tend to spam useless information. I try to get as much over look as possible, using an addon called move everything I can hide all my bars, so I only have spells which is cruicial to know the cd on visible :)

First off all nice guide :) a bit too much information but i guess everyone can sort out for themselves what they want to know ;)

Also about they comps, the holypala/warrior/enh, you can make that into healer/warrior/enh, I've heard even restosham/warrior/enh works.
In 3v3 Healer/feral/enh is a nice combination as well.

The problem about double Hex team is, the spell shares diminishing returns. But with all the buffs, I can imagine it can play well, especially against caster teams (double Wind Shear, haha).

I think in 2's two hexes give you lots of space too kill one enemy, and double windshear on healers is just OP i think as you shut out all heals with windshear (except for priest ofcourse). When you shut out for 2 seconds, then the other one windshears for another 2 second shutdown, and taking a 1 sec total reaction time and both having a 5 second cd that gives a total shut down in theory :)

About your opinion about using flametongue;
It gives a 40% buff to LL, which gives 80% extra dmg with 5 stacks of searing totem, and 160% of dmg if it crits with 5 stacks of searing totem.

Into a table;

Lava Lash without flametongue:
Normall: 100%
Normall crit/5 STstacks: 200%
5 STstacks + crit: 400%

Lava Lash with flametongue:
Normall: 140%
Normall crit/5 Ststacks: 280%
5 STstacks + crit: 560%

Just saying ;) (and don't know for sure if it really works like that lol)

1. Regarding the gear note of yours, I just wanted to write everything for a beginner to know and to understand why. I know this may be trivial for you and even useless, but a lot of players who know nothing about Enhancement or even WoW itself may find it handy if they understand the basics and functionality.

But I will make a summary of it there for others, good point, thanks.

2. Well, some care..the fact you do not does not mean other will not..you have to look at it with not biased eyes..There were like tens of threads on old forums and mmo-champion forums about keybindings and what to bind where, I just wanted to let some inspire if they are completely lost in it.

3. Well, it may, but does not have to be true. Would you prefer me writting just "use this kind of macro for LB, LL, ES, FS, etc." or would you prefer just simple copy/paste my macros to your WoW macros if you were the beginner without macro knowledge? It just saves time..

4. Some find it handy to have addons. Sure, you can do without them, but they help beginners a lot. The links are there just for the same purpose as macros, to save the time finding them. Or are you sure newcomers know where to find WoW addons? I do not really think so..

5. It is 5,6k words actually. =) Anyway, you can just simply use your explorer's search function to get what you need, beginners like details and will read it through (well, I would).

Hehe, yeah, there is a lot of them. =)

I am not sure, have not met any, nor tried..but the burst of the two classes seem quite great and if you time your interrupts well, it may win matches. As for now, Unholy is overpowered because of broken Necrotic Strike (ignores resilience), but I guess it will be very powerful even after the fix. You have to try it yourselves I guess.

I guess it depends on how you will set them up. Have you seen The Ultimate Shaman UI's Mik's scrolling battle text? It is just awesome. No useless info spamming, everything clear, but you have all the crucial information you need on your screen. Otherwise I have to completely agree, mess on your screen can kill your games, you have to keep your screen clear to focus on game at all cost.

True, we met a lot of Resto Shamans today and it was hell, especially combined with DKs... =) Thanks, I will add the comps you mentioned.

Not sure about this, I think you will lose just 40%, not that much you say..I have not really noticed that huge drop in its dmg using my Frostbrand imbue and the utility is really better (but as I said earlier, it depends on your comp whether to use FB or FT, for example, I cannot as I am playing with Affliction Warlock who has no reliable snare).

Intsanius first off all thanks for this guide bit long but very informative, your sure get a hang on a few things when having read this. Ive not been an very active pvp'er but since last few days I get the hang of it and enjoy :) Enhancement is a real cool spec to play.

Second, In regard to weapon enchants. Ive put hurricane on my off-hand weapon I do notice it does not proc that much infact. now I stand for a decission to go avalance/pyrium chain or avalanche/avalanche. I wonder how big of a deal is pyrium weapon chain in case of arena does it make a lot of difference or not?

@Lozeh, bashing someone guide is not cool, Intsanius spent his own time clearing some answers although the guide may be long its not a big deal and its easily divided so you can scroll to the things you wanna read.

It does not. The Haste does not have very high impact on us anymore. That is why why were given Unleashed Wind in combination with Flurry and Winfury Totem. You need almost no other haste. Though as I said somewhere in the thread regarding trinkets, I cannot wait to see the raid trinket with almost 2k Haste on proc to drop. I cannot say now, but it may be like in WotLK where you needed at least 250 Haste for the Black Magic offhand enchant to be viable. Maybe that will be the case again with Hurricanes, we will see.

Anyway, I would not use it unless you use FB/FT where you miss a LOT of Haste with the loss of Windfury and therefore Unleashed Wind.

Pyrium Weapon Chain is priceless. We played few games with my arena partner yesterday and the place was crawling with Rogues, Shadow Priests and Warriors. Who do you think was getting disarmed the whole day? Me. =) It helps a LOT, instead of full duration, it is just half of it, really great. Imagine, for example, you are going for a kill and get disarmed, if you somehow miss you have to interrupt a heal that is being cast on your kill target and it lands, you may correct the mistake much faster for your Lava Lash will be ready sooner (or your Windfury, depending on which class has disarmed you).

Though some may object you will lose dmg against teams without Disarm effects, true. For this case you can be crazy like I will probably, and get a second offhand with Avalanche, heh (do not forget you MUST have it imbued before fight for a quick weapon swap and no problems with weapon imbues during fight). =)

Looks great! I use Power Auras for this (the ones from The Ultimate Shaman UI), but I will definitely put this into macro section after I check it myself. =)

PS: I have just tried your macro, but there is a problem with it still reseting using my macro as a "pet controller". Anytime I change a target of the wolves, it resets to 30 secs. Any idea how to overcome that?
