Greetings

I wish to start this thread by first of all, saying that my account got temp disabled a few days ago due to suspicious activity, now I know this is the case because it's not the first time. The other day when I was checking one of my mails, I saw something suspicious, I recieved a mail from google mail (where my account was previously linked to) saying that someone from China tried to peform a password recovery, now I was lucky to see this because I know this chinese individual has been trying to hijack my account for a long time now, and the mail was written with chinese letters which I also recongnize (I've been studying Japanese & learned to see the difference between chinese & Japanese writing).

Now I did change my mail, password & even added my authenticator I had saved for this situation (Since I got a firewall the previous time), so my account is safe & unlocked for now. My concern remains with this individual. I was able to track his IP, even went to the website where his internet provider is and reported him, but he still continues to attack me. I've noticed that this person dosen't try to hijack my account through keyloggers, but through hijacking my mail & change passwords from battle.net. I've even scanned my computer for keylogers, trojans and so forth but nothing, with multiple anti-virus & anti-malware/spyware programs, but nothing has been found apart from cookies.

For now I stand kinda powerless towards this person, I've tried to report him and let those who can do something about him doing this, do something but it seems nothing is done in the end. So my question is through all this, what should I do to get rid of this person? Now that the authorities have done absolutely nothing.

My account is safe, my characters and items are safe, but I certainly do not feel safe with these constant battle skirmishes i'm having with this person who've been trying to hijack my account for almost a ½ year now.

Thanks in advance

It sounds like you've been incredibly proactive about this, Sadaron, so kudos to you.

I think Amarielle's suggestion that you start with a new and dissimilar email address that you reserve for your Battle.net account is a great idea, and would essentially make the attacker(s) efforts meaningless.

Remember to use a different password and choose a secret question/answer combination that you've not used before, just in case your previous details have been compromised.

Hope that helps. :)
