History of the Trollbane Server

Once upon a time we had very few international horde guilds back in vanilla time. Nike were GM for Talent. Bruise the mafakka orc warrior lead DiE aka Death in Excess. Along we had 1 hungarian guild. Redrock Berserkers and Exomnium were a dutch guild ( think it was that ). Then came a swe only guild named Rsextio and renamed to the end to R60. Then came Sultans of Swing ( led by those crazy !@#$ icelandic people: HAIL QUINTIO, ORCO and DODGER! ) Domini something something cant remember that guild again, Thundercats came later on. Some horde guilds merged together, Talent were the first one who disbanded first due that Nike sold his account, never got his Eye of Sulfaras.
Alliance guild were such like Somnium, ONIX ( think it was named that ) Offspring, Reborn Unity, No Surrender. When it comes to pvp: Wrothag, you crazy %^-* smoking stoned hungarian bastard! Holma, one bloody amazing resto shaman ( SWE FTW!? ) How can you forget Gromkin folks? :D Amazing hunter from UK that got carried, most of the time :) I could mention a whole lot things back in the vanilla days but mentioning those I remember best of it. World pvp outside of Onyxia's Lair. I remember, when I was in Sultans of Swing myself, 40 vs 40, against ONIX. Fun fun, think I got the fraps somewhere. What else I missed out? Ah yeah, cant remember who hosted that thingy, but some arranged a arena lookalike tournement in STV arena. Went quiet well, due that those who arranged it, had "guards" if someone !@#$ed it up, but most of the times it went to a full berserking mode world pvp afterall :) Vanilla Trollbane days > now. Best regards Allexuz, orc shaman who swinged around with Hand of Ragnaros weapon in Alterac Valley. |

I moved to TB back in TBC because of Alliance guild Denial (Dutch) Born on Shadowmoon server (closed) which was full of Russian players we moved to Drak'thul (lots of CZ people).
It was nice to see so many Dutch people on a realm, but it probably blocks out people from other countries to start on TB or move to TB. Denial died and some players started guild Inevitable. I was invited for Chronicles (Dutch) where I had my best Wow time so far. I remember some crazy alliance guild with some realm firsts back in TBC Anyone who's remembers the name? The realm first topic is probably gone now. |

I used to play there, PvE in the Alliance guild "Vicious Circle" which later was collabed with some other guild into "Victory Call". We got LK down on 10man very early in the patch, and people started to move on.

That was with Novus, which came out of Lacerta falling apart. I joined Novus shortly after they formed. Victory Call quit raiding in Jan this year and the majority of their raiders moved to other servers or other games. The guild is still around though. The only long time raid guild I can think of now Alliance side is Offspring and afaik they're running 10 man. Everyone else seems to have transferred. Although I did see someone from Deadly Old Gents a few weeks back, and they said nearly their entire guild had left for other games. It's so low pop now that a few Sundays ago I logged in early afternoon and found 12 people in SW. Not a single goldspammer in chat. You know the realm is well and truly dead when even the goldspammers leave. |

Well because I got nothing better to do I let you guys in on my history on Trollbane.
Vanilla I started my wow life on Bloodscalp like many others, but there were mostly Hun players there and we were glad when the free character migrations went open. On trollbane (I'll skip the lvling part) when I was lvl 59 I got recruited into ONIX a guild at that time well known, same as Offspring and Somnium. I remember it well :) it was 5 am in the morning! When I got asked to join a raid to zul'gurub a instance in stranglethorn vale. Which was a big deal for me since I didn't had any raid experience with a big guild prior to that. I saw the name Soldado in this thread and I remember him well he was a paladin I believe and he was also in ONIX back then. Our guildmaster Supremo was a strict but good leader, good times ^^. The guild was considered hardcore since the raid schedule was pretty demanding. Ah I remember the grinding for attunements and gear haha awesome. We cleared all in vanilla including naxxramas and I believe we had a first kill in naxxramas on the second boss. After that I took a break from wow untill TBC. I can't remember correctly but I believe my old guild was gone by then. Not sure ! Opdonder and I a friend of mine deceided to start our own guild. I named the guild Tsunami and we were a raiding guild. I mostly remember the vanilla part of the troll bane history since it left a bigger impression on me. I had a guild prior Tsunami called Redemption we did a few guild runs to zul'gurub with order of rotheran, back then a full night elf guild. Btw Trollbane was pretty crowded back in the vanilla days and tbc was also quite populated. Greetz Dobey Srry for the long post -.- just bored ^.^ |
