Hello Theraven

You should make sure that you're running World of Warcraft as an Administrator, as the client may not have the sufficient rights in order to save this variable.

You can make sure of this by right clicking on your World of Warcraft shortcut and choosing Properties.
Then go to the Compatibility tab
Here, choose 'Run this program as an Administrator'

After this is selected, re-add the variable and try the game again.

i have 40 fps in sw , 100 fps in istance and 40-80 in raid, i think you have a setting, for example max foreground fps set to a low value

To use DX11 in wow create a new shortcut of Laucher.exe, then rightclick it, hit properties, at the adress you'll have something like this
"C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Laucher.exe", add -d3d11 to the end so it looks like this
"C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Laucher.exe" -d3d11

Also using DX11 be aware that its still in beta so there's some minor issues, for eg. i cant go to windows with the "WIN" key, it gets stuck, instead i just use ALT+TAB works great, but it boosts my FPS's.

Although i have admin rights... changing the Config.wtf was giving me a problem, the first time i added the new codeline and saved the file it worked great, but after rebooting my pc, the new codeline was gone from the config.wtf and no DX11 in game, so i use the other method.

If you use the following command in the chat box in game

/run message(GetCVar("gxApi"))

it will tell you the current gxApi in use, confirming whether or not DX11 is active.

Add all optimization variables you need to config.wtf including gxAPI and make it read-only, problem solved. Full screen glow effect is gone though so don't bother with related variables

Does anyone know how to enable glow effect with DX11 btw?

You need to enable all extra settings, including gxAPI, by adding them to config.wtf and then making the file read-only. Everything works but the D3D11 support is just beta and features are missing
