Thanks for taking the time to put this together, Iavana :-)
Manners and common sense go a long way when posting on forums, but we're aware people feel passionately about the game - as do we - so things can all too easily get heated when discussing hot topics. I'll reiterate: If you see a post on the forum that breaks the Code of Conduct or forum guidelines, please do not rise to the bait; resist the urge to get in the last word, report it, ignore the person if necessary, then move on. |

Gz on the sticky! Working in the gaming industry myself it is rather funny to see what anonimity can do to your behaviour. Some of the most profane posts and e-mails I've seen came from people who I've met in person or talked to over the phone where they are as polite as you can imagine. Also a strange phenomenom is that smaller bugs/glitches tend to cause more complaints/rants than the major game killing ones, so it looks like there are people out their just looking for something to focus their rage on. The best one I've seen was a 2+ page complaint full of profanity about the account and billing system because he got 2 months sub when only paying for 1... |

The way to fix these forums if for people not to defend, retaliate against the bad mannered and trollish but just to simply report them for trolling.
Its often those who take offense, rise to the bait, counter argue who are the main problem. Those who throw the first punch can be dealt with easily. |

Grats on the sticky, knew you'd get it.
Anyway, another point I'd like to make is that I very rarely make a brand new topic. It's not that I derail other threads with what I want to say, but I just don't see the need to make a new thread. The balance needs to be fewer negative locked threads with 1 or two posts, and a few more positive threads that go on for pages. Quality over quantity. Can anyone remember the last positive thread that went on for pages and pages? Not me. |

And possible responses to that could be: 1. The more threads the bigger the chance of Blizzard seeing it. 2. If so many suggest it, then it must be right 3. Can't be bothered 4. Search Tool? And the flaming begins, cause YOU offended his geniously thought out idea... |

From past experience, it's generally the larger the thread the more chance of it being seen. A large concentration of discussion in one topic is much better from an adminstrator's point-of-view than a large number of topics with little discussion and/or ranting. 2. If so many suggest it, then it must be right True in theory; however not always the case in practice. |

@Kaltina and Braintumor (get some clothes on you nutter)
What I wrote wasn't my own opinion, but some of the arguments I have heard while arguing against it :) |

I agree. Clothes, master gnome, before you catch the death of cold. @Xana Thought as much. I was just responding with some thoughts from an admin's PoV, as I've locked many a topic in my time :) *hands over a cookie* |

Oh darn it, I was busy with a similar thread, oh well.
Congratz on being the first non-CM with a sticky in general discussions :3 |

I can understand your frustration; however 'raging' is not the way forward and is one of many steps that lead to a neverending downward spiral. If anyone feels that they've lost faith in the moderators or thinks that they're not paying enough attention in a particular forum, then I advise you to contact them directly via CMFeedback-EN@blizzard.com and let them know your views so they can be aware and act upon it. In they end, admins and moderators only want to help their members and if you let them know, they'll act upon it. Maybe not straight away, but they will respond. |
I can understand your frustration; however 'raging' is not the way forward and is one of many steps that lead to a neverending downward spiral. Yeah i know. And as i said I have made some rage posts in the past in old forums and i regret it cause rage posts dont help at all. Also i have sent 2 emails in the the CMFeedback-EN@blizzard.com and i felt as ignored as i feel in Eu forums. Not even a reply in my email: ty for the feedback and we encourage you to send us more feedbacks to makethe game better. i bet my 2 emails just clicked and deleted instantly. Seriously i had more expectations from a serious gaming company like blizzard. I know that rage leads nowhere. But sometimes ppl getting rather annoyed cause they pay and they get ignored. I dont want to make this a"my class is broken" post but have a look in paladin forums how many constructive posts from players about retribution paladin issues and not a single reply. And i am not talking only for Eu forums. |
