APHORISM
Like any other guild, Aphorism is about fun. Alas, fun is not an objective term. For us fun is to kill big, fat monsters and be the best we can be, with a twist: we want to achieve all of this, without having to raid everyday and have to spend endless time on the game. As such we put quality ahead of quantity in raiding. This has the side effect of a bit more preparation before raids as you might have expected since limited time in raids means you need to learn new content faster in order to keep up. As a result of 25 man raiding being less and less rewarding compared to 10 man raiding we have reformed ourselves into 3 10 man raiding groups with different raiding philosophies and goals. Raiding Group GaGa We are the flagship of Aphorism. Our goal is to compete in all server firsts with other guilds on Sunstrider. We expect our raiders to be complete in all areas of World of Warcraft and have a extensive experience in some of the most difficult encounters made in WoW. We raid 3-4 times a week Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and during progress on Monday at 1900-2300 CET. We expect our raiders to raid at least 3 times a week. Raiding Group Sinatra We are the "core" of Aphorism. We mainly consists of long time members who all are old hardcore raiders but have limited time in WoW due real life engagements. We still expect every player to be on top of their game and have a good experience from previous tiers. We raid only twice in a week so we expect smooth raids and people with a short learning curve. We are going for all hardmodes in each tier but as we are raiding less than other groups we cannot expect to compete in progress with other guilds. Our raid times are Wednesdays and Sundays 1900-2300 CET. We expect our raiders to raid 2 times a week. Raiding Group Bieber We are old retired raiders who still enjoy raiding with good quality people. We expect people to know how to play and raid in WoW. We are going for hardmodes after we have mastered all the normal modes 1 at the time. We also raid twice a week so we prefer people with 2/2 attendance. Our raid times are Thursday and Sunday at 1900-2300. Loot system for all groups is FFA. We do require a common sense in distributing loot. Some groups aiming for progression can have separate priorities for example tanks and healers on tier items to get the set bonuses up faster. Each group consist of group officer and a banker for distributing all the free raid consumables along the raiders and trials. We still take a great pride of EPGP which is developed by us but as 10 man groups are easier to maintain we have decided not to use EPGP for now. 10 MAN PROGRESSION: Gaga 8/8 HC Sinatra 6/8 HC Bieber 5/8 HC RAID TIMES: Gaga: Wednesday / Thursday / Sunday / Monday 19-23 CET Sinatra: Wednesday / Sunday 19-23 CET Bieber: Thursday / Sunday 19-23 CET RECRUITMENT: 1 elemental/restoration shaman (Sinatra) 1 elemental/restoration/enhancement shaman (GaGa) 1 holy/protection paladin (Bieber) 1 restoration/balance druid (Sinatra) --Even if your class is not listed above and you feel you are an exceptional player please don't hesitate to apply. We do not recruit for the bench. If you are accepted you will raid. APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS: *A desire for success *You are aware of the latest theorycrafting of your class *Ability to play all talent trees of your class fit for PvE raiding *Situational awareness *Responsibility for your actions *Stable Internet Connection *Socially active and 18 years of age. Exceptions can be made if we see high potential. *You need to be able to handle constructive criticism *Attendance 2/3 raids per week *The application is important.
