Which one do they use the most? C++? Does anyone have any idea or heard about it? Blue post would be 5* :)

Thanks.

I'd tell you but I am offended by your guild name. So I've decided not to tell you.

I could tell you. Afterall, I know 10 modern-day programming languages and 86 lesser ones - average for a gnome. However I too am offended by your guild name.

Indeed, they are loose letters.

Does your guild name imply you're all savage beasts?

"The most"? I'd find it quite interesting should they somehow mix languages.

They probably use more than one. For building and managing user database c++ can be a tad complicated. But since blizz is all about skill and challenge you never know.

Well. I guess it's a matter of from which perspective you look at it. The game as in just the client or everything around it.

Obviously. They can mix languages, some parts of the game might be coded in C++ while some others may be coded in a different language, if you don't know what you're talking about, don't post :z

I heard they use LUA, scripting, for addons and C++ for the main engine, but it's just ideas so I wished I had a confirmation from Blizzard ;o really curious :)

Luckily for me, I have nothing I'd require from you.

Indeed, but it seems to be a trend on these forums to let everyone know if there's anything you dislike.

I'd be quite interested in the method used to link the executable if this was the case.

Why so? All languages are abstractions of the same machine code instructions.

Quick example off the top of my head to accomplish this mixing of languages: http://www.swig.org/

Obviously can't exemplify on Blizzards implementation.
