What is Army of the Damned?
Army of the Damned is a modified Scourge role-playing guild located on the realm Defias Brotherhood. Our primary aim is to re-establish the Scourge as a major power on Azeroth. We are a semi-rogue faction-guild, meaning we worship Arthas but fight other Scourge for our place as his rightful followers. What is the dominant goal of the Army? With apothecaries working on a new plague we will bring apocalypse upon the living world wiping out everything and anything. In time we wish to completely take over Stratholme, re-establish Scholomance and generally gain members and In-character power and respect! Where is the Army situated? The Army prides itself on using original role-playing zones, especially those filled with NPC's of our faction. Plaguewood is our main base of locations, RP varying from the Fungal Vale, Darrowshire and sometimes Scholomance! Currently in Northrend as part of an RP plot. What type of view does the current Scourge hold on other factions that are not Horde or Alliance? Valuing our independent actions we also value "allies", those who fight for neither side will be welcomed as assistants to -our- cause, without of course being aware of the plague we are working on. How do we look on PvP? Being on an RP-PvP realm we always have a soft spot for rated battlegrounds, arena and rp-pvp in general. General rules Everything in /s /y and /e is always in-character. Guild chat, whisper, raid, battleground and every other method of communication excluding optional Real ID use is out of character. In guild-chat we expect a mature approach to be taken, this doesn't exclude joking and banter, but we don't accept inappropriate and completely out of turn speaking. Anything related to outright racism and homophobia will result in a warning. Metagaming Metagaming is the use of out of character information for in character devices. For example, Osmand whispers Ephitos "We're about to attack you", so Ephitos gathers up every single guildie he can just in time for the attack. That is called metagaming and will not be tolerated, if you are caught to be metagaming with substantial evidence you will be warned. Coprsecamping While we do not approve ganking or corpse camping, if you have been ruining our role-play and our 85s pull up, and you are NOT in a role-playing guild. Well, needless to say we will fight fire with fire. |

The ranking System and the hierarchy
Scourgelord leads the Army, all the cultists, acolytes, casters and death knights pledge their loyalty to him and fulfill every one of his commands. He cannot be over-ruled and his decision is final. Currently Althalos Rowan, protege of Ephitos Sytherius and a hard-line Scourge worshiper is the Scourgelord. Necrolord Necrolords are often masters of both Necromancy and Shadow magic, excelling in the arts and rising quickly through the Thuzadin ranks these are the trusted agents of the Scourgelord. Adept at infiltration and destruction from the interior, these are the most dangerous Scourge agents to encounter. How does one become a Necrolord? A rank not to be trifled with this is again a senior officer rank both In-characterly and Out-of-characterly. Attending RP events, helping the guild itself OOCly and providing RP for those under you are the main elements of this rank. However, knowing the lore, sticking to the rules and being -useful- IC gains most merit from a possible promotion. Instructor An Instructor is an elite death knight assigned by the Scourgelord to guide initiate death knights of the Military Sect. There is currently one Instructor in the Military Sect of the Army of the Damned. How does one become an Instructor? As Instructor is an officer rank both IC and OOC. Commitment and dedication are essential aspects in this role. Attending events, creating events, providing RP for the ranks lower than you and being a foundation of the guild are all elements of this rank. Darkcaster is an expert in both necromancy, shadow magic and anything else he or she may have picked up along the way. Elevated to this rank for his/her service to the Scourgelord he is only steps away from being bestowed the honor of a phylactery. How does one achieve the rank of darkcaster? Through event attendance, rp-pvp contribution, and general work in the guild aswell as In-character progression will see your character both respected by your brethren, as well as being seen in the eyes of the Scourgelord as a useful tool for the Scourge. Death Knight is an accepted and respected member of the Army. Both capable of necromancy and melee combat this rank contains both instructor responsibilities and an unmatched loyalty to the Scourgelord. These are the exceptional death knights who have fought in countless battles, fulfilled the commands of the Scourgelord's and passed the examinations of the Instructors. How does one achieve the rank of Death Knight? It is quite simple, attending events, creating your own events, fulfilling your role in-character as a minion and servant of the higher ranks and generally following the rules + promoting the guild whatever way you can. Both In-character and Out of character contributions are essential. ICly you are to pass the tests of the Scourgelord and the Instructors, and until you pass you do not progress. Necromancer is a junior officer rank for casters. Slowly progressing in the Army these are those who have chosen to follow the path of the Thuzadin sect, embracing necromancy as the dominant magic they train, practice to use against the enemies of the Damned. How does one achieve the rank of Necromancer? It is quite simple. After joining you must make clear that you wish to undertake the path of the Thuzadin sect. In time a suitable mentor will be assigned to be begin teaching you and before you know it you will be showing your talent and skills to the Scourgelord, showing him that you are a force to be reckoned with and a successful user of necromancy. Cultist is a low rank designed for mainly those who have only attended 3-4 regular events and have yet not fought. Their loyalty is in question as are their skills, they are watched carefully by the instructors and the higher echelon, their loyalty tested every step of the way. Disciple is the rank given to understudies of other people. Once finished with your training the superior of whom you have been taken under will report to the Scourgelord and commence a ceremony of promotion to whatever it is you have been learning. Acolyte does not even deserve bold. This rank is a freshly accepted OR an OOC member of the Army. |

Long term goals
- The creation of an effective plague that can be used against every single race other than the followers of the Damned - The recreation of a Frost Wyrm army. - The raising and summoning of a large and effective army, capable of destroying and over-running cities. - Establishment of a firm Apothecary and Thuzadin sects. Short term goals - Setting up a powerful Cult within the Kingdom of Stormwind and acquiring influential official positions throughout. -Empowering the Military sect with further death knight trainees. -Re finding the Wolfcult -Bolstering the numbers of the Scourge Other details Some people are veteran role-players who join, knowing the lore and knowing how to work their character with a scourge theme. But we also invite people new to role-play to join, however we do have conditions. -In the beginning we are to assume you do not know most of the lore associated to the Scourge, if you are asked to read up on it, read up on it. -The applications are our first impression of you, if you are NEW, then put your very best effort into it and let us know that you are new. As previously stated your application is our first impression of you as a person and a role-player. Our forum : http://scourgerp.forum-motion.com/ |

Do not bump posts The act of posting simply to bump a thread is considered spamming. This also includes bumping very old threads for no reason (called 'necro bumping' or 'necroing'). Read the god damned rules... |
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/816711831 Haters gonna hate. |

Let me explain, this isn't an old thread hence you can rule out necroing.
If it's spam I'm sure a GM will delete it. Is there any other problem you wish to discuss with my posting on this thread to increase it being viewed throughout the population? If it offends you, you are not required to post here, thanks for your attention. |

this sounds like a very interesting idea... but, can't understand how you can RP the scourge when the scourge WILL attack you... unless you're a renegade sect, or devoted to the new lich king, whereas the hostile cpu scourge remain loyal to Arthas? i'd definitely be interested in taking part though, on the horde side...
|
They're Npcs lol. |
|
|
Well it doesn't matter if the NPC's attack us, we cannot change that can we? Could you contact me on the forum, I'd like if the horde and alliance used the same forum for the scourge!
We aren't a separate sect, in-fact we are devoted to arthas - ner'zhul, (as written in the wowikki page about the scourge). Register on the forum, and do contact me. The Horde branch is not yet up due to no numbers : ) |
