Please help the low populated servers!

It's all very well asking Blizzard to transfer more people onto your realm, but where are they going to come from?
If you take 500 people from one realm to fix your realm, that leaves the other realm with 500 short. People notice the sudden drop in numbers and start leaving the realm in search of a better realm. Then those that can't afford a transfer start asking Blizzard to fix their realm. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum |
That is not an issue. There are other servers, such as The Venture Co. with extremely low pop. Find 4 or 5 of those and merge them and you have medium pop server (that might go high if people that stoppede due to lack of pop, starts playing again) |

It's all very well asking Blizzard to transfer more people onto your realm, but where are they going to come from? Im here to educate people on realms once again! You cannot merge realms for PR reasons (business 101) and also (i have no proof, but its from the mouth of Blizzard) Thundgot once stated that if they merged any two realms, just two, it would become full and have queues. Worm is also right, where are the people going to come from? 95% (made up but there about) of servers have existed since the end of Vanilla, the population has grown since then and even with the -600k there are still more people about. The servers have been like this since the end of Vanilla. The reason why servers are imbalanced? You will deny it and call me a fanboy but it's all the players fault, players flock to servers with a high percentage of very good guilds/players and the situation just intensifies. Auchindoun is a prime example, it had transfers opened from Ravencrest and Al'akir alliance, it was a terrible alliance server at one point. Now it's probably one of the best in the game and i would bet more alliance players join it every day. I will say though, in hindsight i bet Blizzard would agree they released too many new PvP servers at the end of Vanilla :) A better solution does seem to be there current one which is turn problem PvP servers (the majority of problem servers are PvP) into PvE, offer the populace free transfers, then leave it recommended for months so it is populated by re-rollers. Without closing down servers totally, it seems to be the best way at the moment. Thanks for reading, writing pointless essays on the internet seems to be a hobby of mine i guess :) PS. New server pl0x. |
Im here to educate people on realms once again! No-1 takes a lvl 1 toon serious, make it on your main and we 'might'. if they merged any two realms, just two, it would become full and have queues 1 of most pathetic attempts to, what did you say you were going to do? Oh thats right...educate people. Getting 1 group of players from 1 server Y-1500 combined, and putting them on another server with X-1500 = 3000 players on 1 server. The top serverts have over 20k players on them. So how on earth did u get a full server with 3000 people on it? 95% (made up but there about) of servers have existed since the end of Vanilla, the population has grown since then Executus has been around since Vanilla, the population hasn't grown, its declined. I provided the figures in an early post to prove that. The reason why servers are imbalanced? You will deny it and call me a fanboy but it's all the players fault, players flock to servers with a high percentage of very good guilds/players and the situation just intensifies Thats the 1st decent thing thats come out of ur mouth so far & the point you made is bang on the money. PS. New server pl0x. That has to be a joke & a very bad 1 at that. |

Paying £20 to move realm just so you can enjoy the game to it's fullest is utter bull. It's a barrier that should not be there. "These premium services are optional and are not required to fully enjoy the ga-" For most: Yes, but for transfers: No, they are infact needed to play with your friends or to move off a crappy realm.

Idd Ranorack.
Rather than focus on providing a service to its paying customer, Blizzard charge even more money for a player to fix their shot falls. |
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/eu_realmstats.php when I look here, some servers such as argent dawn have 32-33000 players. TVC got 4k, executus 2.3k (it should be said that executus got 1 faction having 90 %+ of the activity) 5 servers would make a medium pop, 3 could easily be made into a low. |

Expecting a blue poster usually never gets a blue response

I am playing on a decent server, so i do not have a problem, but i do agree that Blizzard should do something about it.
Its true that merging might be the best solution, but this will make it look like World of Warcraft is losing alot of players and sending a wrong message to the general mmorpgs or those that want to start World of Warcraft. Free-transfers is pointless, who on earth would go to a almost dead server, i think they should merge, but i guess it all depends on Blizzard, because asking players to pay for a transfer just so they can enjoy a game they already paid for and are still paying for is pure bull. |

Imo opinion merging isn't the "oh now wow is dying" answer. There are too many servers, with the player base spread to thin over them. Put your paying customers in a sitaution where they can then enjoy the game alot more. |
