Oh great and now the EU Battlenet site has turned into a snail so I can't even unsubscribe.
|
People dont like to pay lets assune "10-20 bucks" extra a month for features like "invite friends to your group", "join guilds", use a new profession, get faster dungeon queue / log in and so on. To not like a feature etc. doesnt mean that you dont like the whole game - something a lot of people seem to forget if they ask people to "quit". |

Finally something Great & Awesome comming! It surely gonna take WoW features to new level. I was so happy when i heard about it.
but the premium part? why? i believe we already pay enough for that, plus Remote auction house for smartphones. This feature gonna help us alot to play with friends & people we know together much more, but making us pay to enjoy that... please reconsider that Blizzard. |

Congratulations Blizzard, I just lost most of whatever respect I had left for you. Like many people in this thread I find myself questioning why I keep playing more every day. Retarded changes in-game, recycled crap all over the place, class imbalance is thriving more than ever and now this? Charging money for social features? Sure, we don't know exactly how this will turn out but the message is very clear.
And to think this used to be such a great game... I remember walking around Teldrassil for the first time right after release.. the amazement at the creative company that set up such a massive and immersive world. Now all I see is a money-grubbing company milking this teleport-to-a-dungeon-or-BG-when-a-window-pops-up MMO to it's last drop. Change your attitude towards the players, sort out your game, go back to your artistic roots and balance things out between classes. That's what you should be doing Blizzard! Not this crap that only strives to earn you even more money from your faithful playerbase! I hope you see the light... - Sincerely, a loyal suscriber since a few weeks after release.. |

No way am I paying money for this, was really happy till I saw this as an extra way to earn blizzard money, I am sure you earn enough already with millions of users paying you £8.99 a month. Plus the paid character services like race change, name change, faction change, blizzard goodies like mouse mats to other stuff on your blizzard store.
All you need to do with your employed computer geeks is program a way to do it and it's done. No way should people have to pay for it and I am sure from you reading all these pages blizzard not once has someone yet said they are willing to pay for this. |
this! |

"600,000 players lost! What should we do?... Let's tie a noose around World of Warcrafts neck and kick it down the stairs!"
In late 2011 an MMO was found wandering the road side, blood-caked and screaming murder. It said it had broken out of a window in hell. The game babbled a mad tale about a greedy company and a playerbase resembling an abandoned farmhouse. It then sank into catatonia... The blizzard gameplay massacre. |

"600,000 players lost! What should we do?... Let's tie a noose around World of Warcrafts neck and kick it down the stairs!" I feel this is hilariously true. They're panicking because people aren't happy with the current level of content and in true Activision style we get a paid service. |

I don't normally jump on the bandwagon in regards to threads like this, but I gotta say that I agree completely with the other posters here. Expecting people to pay in order to do dungeon runs with their friends is not just stepping over the line it's outright insulting, and I for one will not be giving you my money for this feature.
Also, if this is the kind of direction you're going to take wow in the future then I won't be giving you my money at all. |

It just goes to show that Blizzard don't actually care about the player base. All they care about is how much they can squeeze out of every players wallet.
Maybe we should derail this Gravy Train that Blizzard is operating and just unsubscribe until they start to realise that without the player base WoW will fizzle and die. Afterall, the player base as stuck with you through the good and bad times, yet you still treat us disrespectfully by expecting us to pay a premium for a service that should be included in the subscription. Yes, your subscription hasn't increased since the launch of WoW, but when WoW was launched you didn't expect to reach 12 million subscribers a few years down the road. The world economy is still recovering, majority of people that play WoW are not has finacially secure as they were when WoW launched and there for have to watch what they spend. Asking people to pay a premium to play with friend on different servers is disrespectful. A wise man once said "How much money does one person need" A greedy person said "It doesn't matter how much money you have, its never enough" |

Up through the years WoW has always been that game you pay a couple of bucks for, then you get quality, a game with equal opportunities and everything in game available. I myself have laughed of some of my friends playing "free to play" games, where you have to pay 30$ just to buy a mount.
If this game develops into something where an desirable thing like this, I believe, that blizzard as a company is going to lose credibility and just maybe, a lot of subscribers, me included. I can't see any reason to add this, and the payment required, if they weren't trying to salvage the last billions of bucks out of this project. As they obviously aren't making enough money on appearances changes, realm transfers, flying sparkly mounts and squeaking companions this must feel like the next big thing for Azeroth. What a shame to have something so good lower itself so much. |

1) It has been said before, but nonetheless I will be saying this again: Making this announcement just after releasing the info that WoW has lost 600 000 subscribers is somewhat.... Couterproductive. Don't blame the people if you gett called greedy now...
2) This whole premium based thing makes me very, very, very, worried for Diablo III. Face it: This is a test balloon. |
