Haha, it boggles my mind that most of you can't just look at this without relating it to your own personal problems with this game.

Once a useful item, now removed to make way for a cleaner interface, I think it's a blue post because it's more of a nostalgic trip for the older users. Farewell keychain! I never found use for you really, but I sure you helped many a guy in the past.

Lighten up guys, Blizzard obviously have alot on their plate.

Hm, could you make it so they -don't- end up in my inventory?

It is already swamped and often full and this would only create a lot of hassle.

So i've been managing for quite some time with 4 bagslots remaining, sending around stuff to alts and back depending on raiding, pvping, grinding or on a collector's hunt. I was just waiting on a moment we would get an extra bankslot, an extra bagslot, being able to replace my backpack, a tabard rack or anything that would help me. Yes in other person's eyes i might have too much junk. I have a complete BWL set, an old ZG set, AQ 20/40 set, MC set (including TF) and a TBC set with everything on it (weapons rings, neck, trinkets etc). I collect all tiers (lucky i'm a rogue so only one set), and fun ingame items like archaeology items, imp in a ball, orbs, etc. I collect the seasonal items. And ofcourse i have a full pvp set. All i have is bop since all the rest i just keep mailing away. And there are still some pieces missing in my collection. Besides that i'm also engeneer which comes with a lot of extra items as well like teleporters and such. Thanks to Jeeves, Gruntling, Portable Mailbox and TTM i can pickup still most of the items luckily.

I'm glad that my 140+ pets and 100+ mounts don't need bagspace anymore but i still need a lot more space in stead of less. I also collected key's and most of them got destroyed before, but i sure don't have the space to keep the remaining ones in my normal bags. Same for tabards, the once i have left are from cards, achievements or special events/drops that are not able to be bought back, all others i had to sell for bagspace.

Especially since the keys will be needed in my bags in stead of the bank to be able to use them, will mean less fun items in my bags, and i play on an rp realm where nice looking sets and funitems are important part of the game.

Probably in the end you will cut down the amount of keys to drop only, just making brd runs a pain, and non rogue blacksmiths cry, but it still does not help the real problem. We need more space ! We have a new tier coming in and i don't have the room for it. I have 2 26 slot bags and all others in bank and on me are 24 slot. It's pretty hard to make all 26 slot atm. But it's real sad to walk around with a crap backpack, make it replaceable at a certain level. I'm happy i'm done questing atm cause for questitems i would not have the space either.

It should not be like this game has to annoy people from something meaningless as a lack of bagspace. Especially while keep bringing out so many funitems each time, which is good, the bagspace should be increasing on the same rate. I don't want to loose items to be able to get new ones. SInce lots are not easy to get back.

Bottom line is, replace keyring with a bagslot in stead, make backpack replaceable(these 2 will increase possibility to bring a lot of funitems/sets on you during play), give people an extra bankslot each expansion (so they have room to storage new features without destroying old ones) and make tabards as a drop down menu, where tabards with a use ability will be saved in your spellbook for instance, and make questitems being pickedup in something else than your bags except for drop start quest itmes who will go there after excepting the quest, or you can change them into "picking this item up will start a quest". That way you'll be increasing the possibilities for players to enjoy this game to the fullest.

I just can't imagine how classes with offspecs can manage to play, if i see how i'm struggling. Just a few minutes ago someone asked me to craft some engeneer item and i had to ask him to wait with trading his mats till i managed to send away my pots, bandages and poisons to make the room. Is that the way you want us to play really ? And why not make one symbol for bags that opens all bags as one big bag, is there really any player who just opens one bag at the time in stead of all ?

Removing the keyring is fine, but PLEASE don't make us keep our keys in our inventory or bank. You say you want to free up space, well...this won't do that. I hope that if you're going to go through with this somewhat pointless change, that you'll find a new place to put our keys that DOESN'T take up inventory space.

In fact, while you're spending your development time on such a pointless change, why not do something helpful like make a tabard tab in our spellbook?

Good posting ^^. I'm having problems with my limited bag space too. I already threw away some items I actually prefered to keep, and how many people actually have a bank alt? IMO bank alts shouldn't even be necessary at all.

We could definitely use some extra bag slots on our character and bank. If removing the keyring serves this purpose, I'm all up for it.

Oh so, you don't know?

How much bashing without knowing do you need to do to get your text grey instead of very dull brown? I'm sure you have loads of experience. Please do share.

I don't see why people are making random assumptions on every half-plan posted.

For the same reason you just did.

Ppl who stumble in their own words never cease to amuse me.

Loving how you compare my post to the explanation posted in the blue. How does it even relate?

Have a mirror. Hope you don't choke laughing.

What will append to TBC hcs that require keys?

lots of ppl like myself still run them for mounts or rep.

What about Kara? I run it every week for mount drop -.- and gold.

What about BRD? if I wish to help a friend and boost him/her some levels i need to remeber to get the keys from my bank?

this is unforgivable!! unless you make a new feature were all tabards stay in one place like the keys are atm or like the mounts and pets are stored.

wow... some people are really attached to their keys.

I agree that if this is just a stand alone change then there are other, more important, issues that the developers can be addressing.

However is this is the start of a storage overhaul which will result in more storage space then /applaud.

As for all you people comlaining that you beloved key ring is being taken away. Please just stop and think about your life for a minute.

Attention Blizzard:
There are two gryphons on each side of the ui, take that useless thing off there and u got TONS of phreaking space...what else do u need?
Oh, and btw, why do i have to carry 17 pve dps gear items, 17 pve tanking items, 17 pvp items in my bags at all times?

Think before you do anything... i know it is a new idea for you but it really works.

Obviously Blizz will remove the key-requirement together with the key so people can still enter those dungeons. They might keep the reputation-requirement though. I don't see any problem here.

...Back when the largest bag was a mind bottling 18 slots - rumoured to be bottomless - the Keyring helped save precious bag space...

Oh, mind you, here's the solution. It was to be a mind-boGGling fantastic thing, but somebody spent too much time with a bottle, and now we only have mind-boTTling unfascinating crap.

We aren't attached to the keys we are attached to the space they will take up in our banks and bag spaces. Not to mention we are cheesed off about various other things that need changed but this is what Blizzard gives us.

I have now asked for a Blue post regarding the tournament in Icecrown and various other parts of WoW that bugged out when I switched from Ally to Horde, nothing yet. I lost maybe 10 pets, all the mounts from various factions and all the Rep, including Titles, Tabards etc. GM said this would be fixed next patch......, I switched back in 3.1 and it has still not been fixed. These kinda things are what we are annoyed about, they need fixed but Blizzvision announce that Keyrings are an all important aspect of our UI and need clearing up.

I like WoW as it is the best MMO of its kind (do prefer DCU due to PvP balance and combat mechanics however it is a different "genre") however when you see what the rivals such as Rift are offering, such as free character transfers etc. We have to question why Blizz is failing so badly in retaining popularity and why Blizz is insisting in not letting us play with our friends, for example Guild runs should not have a "Ilvl" restriction, if there are 5 players from teh same guild knowing that one of their members has lower then usual gear but want to get him up to scratch, why should there be a restriction, potentially avoiding us playing with our friends.

These are some of the issues from a huge lot that we are annoyed about, but Blizzvision fixes Keyrings, or makes it worse to store items....GG.

Alright so you want to free up space on the bar.. fine, go right ahead. But you better damn well keep your fingers from my keys!

One mans trash is another mans treasure. I like my keys, and I've tried my best to obtain whatever keys I could get my hands on.

If this means I have to use my own bag slots for them then so be it, but you should NOT delete them!

If you want to keep space for accounts down, how about removing some of the useless statistics, such as combat and social and fix the existing ones. (eg. flasks used)

We have stories behind all keys, hours of hard work. Just to remove them is to make that effort wasted, and even worse, having to spend 10-15 bag slots to keep those we want.

I think Blizzard really must get a grip of what people like about this game, it is quite similar to real life; you work hard for something and you feel good when accomplish it and get a reward.

It does not feel good not having to get attuned, get all rep for free from tabards, buy epic from vendors, run through all new heroic 5 mans in 1 day, having 100 mounts and 100 pets that are 90% of them easy to obtain, class homogenization, make old content revamped, make our outfits looks like... (Heidi Klum and Michael Kors would faint), clear raid content fast just to have to start all over again for hardmodes and do the same bosses all over again. All just to satisfy the broad masses, but do they get satisfied....?

Only Blizz has the details on how many people actually use widescreen. They maybe common in your country, but that doesn't mean they're common all over Europe.
