I don't buy that the reason is just to free up screen space. We already have the "extending" buttons in the game. Why not just have a single bag icon, clicking it extends upwards to show the backpack and equipped bags, and the keyring. Any of which you can click to see.
Perhaps they could steal. I mean errr implement functionality of many bag mods (as an optional setting) that would allow a single click to show all bag contents too. Maybe I am just crazy over here making such outlandish suggestions. |

It amazes me that on any thread that praises something new in game you will get a blue post reply.
Looking at the replies to this change on the US and EU forums, and its outright unpopularity. I am simply staggered that we have had no comment from our beloved owners. Those keys took us hours of gameplay, epic questlines etc and they are gone with a simple adieu to it. Well thanks for not listening to your community. The forum posters represent a huge proportion of ingame players that are unhappy with this change This is one step too far imo, and I for one, will be today cancelling 2 game subscrriptions. If you want a game that actively listens and responds to its communty, its no longer this one. ADIEU WoW |
Do you have any evidence for that comment? I was under the impression that forum posters are the minority and do not represent the majority of players in WoW. I would like to see any evidence to the contrary. |

For instance my main is a a GM of a guild with 425 members on our website we did a vote dislike / like this change 98% disliked this change. I guess I am not the only one who posts that do so representing their ingame community. But yes forum posters are a minority that imo represent a majority. |

I now have, on my Blacksmith, 6 bag spaces taken up with stacks of Cobalt Skeleton Keys, 1 with Titanium Skeleton Keys Plus the other keys I had in my Keyring, taking up valuable Bag Space. Really not happy about this.
Please, either give me more Bag Space or my Keyring back. OR Completely & totally REMOVE keys from game. |

Just logged back into the game after a month or two hiatus, and very disappointed to see my already nearly-full bags now totally-full of keys, and half of the keys I worked hard to collect over the years, just vanished. Now I have a bank full of tabards AND keys! Thanks, Blizzard! Genius idea you had there. Next time, create a new space saving option before you take one away.

It amazes me that on any thread that praises something new in game you will get a blue post reply. We do listen and that's why we leave threads like this unlocked, so you can say what you have to say and we can read it and ensure those who need to know are aware of the response. We may not be replying to the feedback but we are taking it into consideration. We're sorry that the removal of keys makes you feel like leaving the game. But we thank you for sharing your feedback with us so that we can keep it in mind if we consider similar changes in the future. |

Some feedback for Blizzard to ignore when they make a future change:
Should have done it the other way around. First get rid of tabards taking up space, and only then clutter up everyones already full inventory with quest/blacksmith keys. |

thanks blizz.... all my damn keyrings have blocked up my inventory and i cant use it/ do anything in game anymore.... why not delete the stupid gigantic eagle things on the side of the bars and there is a ton of space to put useless crap buttons... thank you... ill be canceling until the situatuion improves... cant play with no inventory space!!!!

Well I do feel that Blizz should have read the comments and held off on this one.
Exactly what I predicted came to pass my raiding was ruined last week. Every time I re-entered firelands on our main raiding days any slots I had freed instantly filled up with keys again. Some soulbound keys, some mailable keys (but not too many mailboxes in firelands). I ended up having to delete items I wanted to keep mid-raid and disrupted the raid by having to stop to do so. Also what use are my BS keys on an alt ? Blizz please institute a formal process for considering the impact of proposed changes. I am Technical Director of a software company and we do this as a matter of course. At present you are failing to treat your users as customers |

On the subject of space, with the game having progressed so much since the days of a 16 slot bag being epic lewts, how about offering a in game mail from Bagsy McBagginton (or some other NPC, maybe one of the city bag vendors), stating that for your endeavours in helping the Horde/Alliance, they'd like to offer you an exchange of your 16 slot backpack for a 24 slot for small donation of ,say, 500 gold to city funds.
It wouldn't mean level 1s get a huge amount of extra space at start, it'd be one more added feeling of 'progression' in terms of gear, and we wouldn't be left with 4 huge bags and one medium one at 85, and hell, might even moderate the pain of lugging a few extra keys around for now :) |

I agree with everyone that's annoyed about this change. I have not played for about 3 weeks and have just logged in to find a load of keys in my bags - not happy, i never have enough bag space at the best of times.
I sometimes wonder if Blizzard employees just get bored and feel they just have to change something all the time. The old saying 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' comes to mind. Instead of taking away things that affect us all in this way, why not simply change the way you add new functions. For example, i now have a 'Dungeon Finder' button, a 'Dungeon Journal' button, plus a 'Raid' button all taking up space on my action bar. Why not simply tie these together to one button that produces a pop-up menu? Ok, it would mean two clicks or button strokes, but at least we would not be losing something that served a very good purpose, ie the key ring. Or, even better, what about the guild finder button, i for one cannot say i am using that on a regular basis, so why not move that to the chat menu like you did the social button? Come on Blizzard, what do you think is more important, a guild button we use from time to time, or a key ring that was used on a daily basis? Think Blizzard, why did you in all your wisdom give us the key ring in the first place?, now let me guess, to save us from using valueable bag space? Believe it or not, we still need some keys, and we still need the bag space, so why take it away from us? P.S Thank you for stealing my old key to the Searing Gorge Tunnel, yeah i know i didn't need it anymore, but that's not the point, it was a keep sake that held some good memories for me from when i first started playing the game. You know, back in the days when i didn't have to worry about the next patch wondering what you guys were going to change for the worse this time. Come on Blizzard, please give more thought to just how your randon changes affect us. I love all the new content you people just keep adding, but please stop messing with the way we interact with the game like this. If your bored and simply must have something to fiddle around with, how about working on a system that will let us decide what buttons we want, that way we could all choose the buttons that are relevant to our own style of game play. |
