Quite frankly, removing the keyring is the dumbest idea that ever got thought up.
Instead of worrying about keyrings Blizzard, i have a better idea. How about actually giving us more bank slots ?

I read it hoping for hunter buffs to make us viable in arena.

I have a better awesome idea for Blizzard. Why do we have multiple bags? I mean, those bag icons take up a lot of space that you could fill with more pointless icons! I'm sure we'll find a way to store all our stuff somehow. Go Blizzard!

On a more serious note, this is a horrible change, and really just takes a dump on collectors and people who enjoyed the old aspects of the game. Shameful.

Next step: make all consumables neverending and buffs permanent. That will really liven up the game.

On the first page I mentioned what they have done so far to create more space on the main menu bar. The space that the key chain takes is not negligible at all, the changes are evident to that.
What you also have to remember is that the main menu bar is the most imporant space in the user interface. It is what people will instantly see. They don't have to first open the spellbook, then click on a secondary tab, and then look down a list to find the specific feature they want to access, because it's right there in front of them. All the very important, big features tend to be placed on the main menu bar, so people have easy access to them. But just as PvP, achievements, help, quest log, and so on, are big features that warrant space on that bar, then the keyring just isn't. You never ever need instant, easy access to the keyring - ever. The space it takes up can be used for far better things.

Could merge spellbook and talents.

Maybe even dungeon finder and player vs. player if done right.

come on why are u serious u gave us a keyring bag to make space in our bags and now u are filling it up again by taking it away .........

as stated YOU are looking at ways to help out interface WELL if you are taking away keyring bag please replace it with a TABARD TAB really this would be more heplful to all clearing space we have in our bank / bags atm i have 43 tabards in my bank which is taking up alot off bag space and i even have some in my bags atm

fair is fair i would say keyring tab for a tabard tab

Blizz, with all due respect, what exactly are you going to do with the interface space that the keyring took up? Make the other bag slots one pixel wider?

Surely there are more pressing things to be spending time on?

I would suggest you make keys like currency, otherwise I can see only a downside to this particular change. Nobody wants bank space taken up with heroic and raid TBC keys and the like just to allow more room on the UI, it may be a real programming problem but this solution is sloppy and should not really be made the player's problem IMHO.

I've been to the PTR, this change isn't as bad as it sounds.

Just put the still existing, put unneeded keys to the bank.

(that jump-a-tron key... karazhan key... BRD vault keys... deathforge keys...)

^ not a big deal, really.

No extra bank slots, no storage for your tabards and extra sets of gear...but hey! At least you don't have to carry KEYS in your bags!

...oh..nevermind.

Seriously, they ruin this game more than they fix it at the moment.

Wow, this is like a blow to the general stomach area. Possible lower. The thing that is gallling my game erxperience for months now, is the lack of bagspace. I made a lenghty forum-post about it a while ago. You promise to make tabards and old item sets disappear from our bags/banks to free up space. Instead of that, you are going to take away more bagspace. I've been playing with 3 free slots or less ever since Cata came out on my main and first alt. Using extensive buyback just to get around. I have max slot bags in all slots including bank.

This isn't a joke for me, this is by a wide margin my biggest problem in the game.

If you insist on doing this, can we have some sort of Feat of Strength for the rarer keys, such the ones used in old Attunements? I'm not asking for a title or even points, but just some sort of Feat of Strength for those keys? FoS' are, after all, "Past Glories" on Azeroth. I want people to know that i went through the attunement quests for each available and relevant key.

Hell, even move them to the currency tab if you must. Add a new category called "Keys". That way people can still prove they did the attunement before the requirement was removed, or even went through the trouble afterwards. Not to mention then they aren't cluttering up my damn bag. Already have enough trouble with space as it is.

Instead of wasting time and resources on insignificant and silly things like Journal and Keyring how about spending them for new content more often and no more rehashed dungeons/raids?

Well my bank is full and I'm having a real hard time deleting anything now a days.

But hopefully this is a first step in adding an option to store tabards, that will free up some bank space.

It's not. It's to add a derpy little "dungeon journal" icon to the default interface.

It's amazing how Blizzard turned this game from mmoRPG to just mmo. Step by step they remove every rpg element leaving you with: raids, bgs, arenas. Formers have always been the biggest parts of the game but now it's like total vacuum beyond them.

Then there's The Master's Key which no longer has a real purpose either. The Karazhan gate can be opened with a Cobalt Skeleton Key (if you are a Blacksmith), or you can just let a friend who has they key open the gate for you. So since you can get around the locked gate so easily, why keep the gate locked at all? If people want to enter, let them enter :)

Wow really, let me just UNDERLINE/BOLD where you have gone compleetly wrong.

SO BASICLY: You say you don't need the Master's Key because you can use BS keys or ask someone else for the Master's Key.

I fail to understand why you got MVP

Please make Blacksmith keys stack to 200 then. I still have a lot (hundreds) of those keys, and I like not to think/care of them, just to use them when needed. It was really convenient with the infinite keyring, but now I will have to manage them along with other consumables, and the current stack of 20 doesn't give a lot of leisure time.
