This pretty much sums up the whole discussion. People need to start playing better. To complain that the fights are different when you have rubbish people involved seems really kinda... obvious. I have experience at pretty much all levels of raiding. Competitive 10 and 25 man raiding (world top 200 in both instances) and also more 'average' raiding ( top ~3000-5000 range). It is clear that if you are frustrated with 25 mans at mediocre level, you need to recruit higher quality players - not attempt to make an argument suggesting that the game needs to change. |

I agree that fights are tuned closely. But they tune them for top 10s and top 25s. The difference against 25s in the casual/average level is chaotic! When a choice is offered, it has to between two equal options. The innate differences between 10 and 25 has to be somehow countered for 25 to continue to exist. And i explain myself. You can't just ask for a 25 to recruit 25 potent people to operate as well as a 10 with 10 potent people. It is not the same input of resources before the fight starts. The above is causing a natural distortion in the system, since potend people, immediately see that the odds are to find better average skill in a 10 man, thus chosing 10s for progress. The above fact, makes the pool of potentially skilled people willing to raid 25 smaller than it should be, based only to personal preferences regarding the size of the group. And because of it, makes the model non properly operational. To ask from a mediocre 25 to up the skill in order to meet the standards of a good 25 is acceptable and right. To ask though from a mediocre 25 to up the skill to meet the standards of a good 10 is not acceptable, because you need infinitely more time to reach there. It is unfair combetition, because as time ruthlessly is testing the patience of your latest potend recruits, a good potend 10 that is almost ready and misses one spot, nails your recruit that joins them knowing that he just accepts the invite and he is ready to raid, rather than waiting for more to come to raid. The root of the issue is the unfair combetition as you re trying to keep your team alive and improve it, while others can do the above actions with a fragment of the efford needed, and in a fragment of the time you need. It is not anymore a better 25 getting your recruit or your member making you go back one step till you find replacement, it is a 10 man that does it, a group that can easier reach optimum effectiveness than yours, requiring only one potent member for every 2.5 that your group needs. Basically, since the reward is the same, it is like putting a pool of people in a !@#$hole (no raids) and offering as destination the paradice(high end progresive raiding). The one way is to follow the long path with 25 intermediate stations. The other one is to follow the short path with only 10 intermediate stations. The destination, is excactly the same, both offer high end progressive raiding. Why a player wants to be potend if not to progress well? And what are the odds for a good player to chose the long path vs the short after the above? This is why we have a systemic problem. And this is why 1) A mediocre 10 can improve easier vs a mediocre 25 2) A new guild will go for 10 and not 25 3) A crisis in a 10 that decreases the quality of the team is easier reversable than in a 25. The above is allowing mediocre 10s to exist indefinately and improve whenever, while 25s have as only option to be better than 10 people combetitors or die. |

Fairwell Stormwatch :(
One of the most traditional high end guild in the server, took the decision to migrate in order to become able to raid at a high end level in 25 people mode, during Mists of Pandaria. Stormwatch was one of the guilds you would expect to clear all content while relevant, and they did say fairwell to Emerald Dream by doing excactly that. Deafeated Madness Heroic encounter second in the realm! Good luck to the people that migrated, and don't be strangers now! |

Goodbye Stormwatch, some of the nicest people to have come across during my time playing.
Best of luck on new server! |

Indy after many tribulations got Spine HC down on tuesday :)
And I look forward to the movie Mezzy. Could you snap in some images of DW flying and rolling? I know there are programs to get the image of DW on Spine, Azryiel from Hüljatud gave some good images. Just shooting it out there that it'd look cool with full body images :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1f-K2W_0VcE&feature=youtu.be |
Indy after many tribulations got Spine HC down on tuesday :) Glad you're looking forward to the movie Nuvielle! The reason why there's not much of DW in the trailer is because the last few bosses haven't been recorded yet, or not completely. As opposed to the earlier bosses of which most I've already finished editing. But don't worry, there'll be plenty of deathwing in the movie! |

Empyrean have just cleared 8/8 HC Dragon Soul. Not particularly news-worthy at this point I realise, but hey, news is dry on this realm! :D
