Ghostlands Question of the Week: 1
|
Edited by Illume on 08/06/11 20:05 (UTC)
Greetings fellow Ghostlandians, after reading in a lot of other realm's forums threads that say the realm forums are dying I have took the liberty to create weekly questions in which I hope to have replies (comical or opinionated) so that we as a realm can get to know each other, have a laugh maybe and revive Ghostlands' forums to have a social feel (instead of all the guild recruiting threads).
I will add a new question roughly every week so stay alert and look out for new ones. It would be great if we can make these boring forums into a more fun place! Also at the end of the week I will announce what I feel is the best answer in my opinion, it will be displayed in next weeks thread so stay updated! So guys here is the first question: If you could add one new race to be playable in WoW (a current non-playable race or your own idea) WHAT would it be and WHY? Try to be creative guys :) |

it would be a drake. coz you fight those drakes and one day in my dream i saw a drake in my dream in world of warcraft so from that moment i always /beg drakes in game. maybe they can transform me to a drake one day

Well, I've had an idea for awhile, it's not a race, more of a hero class, like DKs, it would be a sort of Vampire, led by Blood Queen Lana'thel and the Blood Princes, basically the San'layn, theres plenty of spells, abilities and history to go with it, I just think it would be a great addition.

well to answer the question, I would like to see keepers of the grove added as a playable race for the alliance and centaurs for the horde. |

A long post, some of which comes from Warcraft history, some come's straight out of my warped mind....
A Mechagnome class. The Titan known as ‘The Grand Architect’ created a Mechagnome known as Mechazod. Mechazod was crafted with the finest parts available, some of which were prototype parts not fully tested. Upon powering up Mechazod, The Grand Architect observed Mechazod learning at an exponential rate. The Grand Architect was unable to supply information for Mechazod to digest quickly enough, such was the pace of Mechazod’s learning. Mechazod became self aware 12 days after his creation. The Grand Master had no option, but to disassemble Mechazod, his parts strewn across an area in Borean Tundra. Many years later Gnome’s found parts of Mechazod when building Fizzcrank Airstrip. The Gnome’s found all the parts necessary to rebuild Mechazod. Mechazod’s memory banks were fully intact, and was once again, self aware when powered up. Mechazod escaped the Gnome’s, and vowed to rid the world of the Gnome’s ‘curse of flesh’. This saw a bounty placed on Mechazod’s head from both Fizzcrank Fullthrottle, and Greatmother Taiga. Whilst in hiding, Mechazod started constructing Mechagnome’s of his own to act as his slave’s. Mechazod was unable to harness the use of Magic, and his Mechagnome’s are no different. As a result of this, Mechagnome’s cannot cast magic, however, the servos used to control their limbs are incredibly fast and powerful, making them formidable melee combatants. Their telephoto targeting systems, and the ability to stand completely motionless, makes them very accurate marksmen. Mechazod created Mechagnome’s in his own image. Knowing what had happened to him, and the potential of his creations, Mechazod was careful to not allow his minion’s access to information that might see them learn as he had. However, recently many Mechagnome’s have been seen throughout the land. Rumours are circulating, that these creations have followed in their masters footsteps, and become self aware. Now seeking recognition, these escapees’s have sought refuge in capital cities, where their presence is of the utmost concern of the leaders of both the Horde, and Alliance. In order to be accepted as equals, Mechagnome’s are being sent on epic quests to prove their worth, and become accepted as a new race. As these Mechagnome’s gain experience, and knowledge, new abilities become available to them via a programmer. The most powerful Mechagnome’s have been through many battles, seen many injuries, and as a result received many body part upgrades. The eldest Mechagnome’s are barely recognisable to what they once were before starting their epic adventure. |

Murlocks should be and should have been a playable race since day 1! As demonstrated throughout the game Murlocks can be a range of classes varying from shamans to hunters to priests.
Murlocks FTW! BTW nice idea (finally some fun)! |

I think Valkyries should be a new race or new class depending on your view. I think its some of the coolest mobs we face in World of Warcraft and adding them would be a huge hit. :-) Also with flying as a Passive ability

I think Horde and Alliance should have one race that they can share.
Bare with me. It would be not unlike the real world, where humans are at war with other humans. I would add a race called "The Mai" a race of part human, part cat beings. Once great and powerful beings they have been driven from there homeland by the god of death, Anubis. The Mai exist as two separate societies, Alliance faction being named "The Protectors of the sands" and the horde faction being named "The Overlords". The Alliance faction believe that they and humans are equals and share many thing in common. Where the Horde faction believe they are superior to Humans and seek nothing more than they're annihilation. This is kinda my own little expansion, From another dimension the Mai break through into our world and seek the aid of its (Surviving) inhabitants. Anubis, The dark god of death is raising an army of Monstrous Mai / something else Hybrids and intends to wipe out the Mai and turn there lands into death streaked deserts. The Mai's entrance into our dimension has made Anubis aware of our world, And its only a matter of time before he turns his armies on us. Can the Mai and the Azerothians survive another battle of this scale, Afterall... When deathwing died we had no idea what he was, we had no idea what we would bring! (My little idea is that deathwing is a conduit to Azeroth itself and his destruction begins a chain reaction that begins steadily killing azeroth and only the strong have survived. This is not a perfect time for the scattered peoples of azeroth to be thrown into another war) |

This sounds kinda awesome :D but too much for just a race and to little for an expansion :D
