Hurricane
81% of base mana(15094 mana at level 85) 30 yd range Channeled Creates a violent storm in the target area causing 1044 Nature damage to enemies every 1 sec, and increasing the time between attacks of enemies by 20%. Lasts 10 sec. Druid must channel to maintain the spell. The spell "Hurricane" is close to worthless these days. The damage is crappy, and the mana cost is very high, this is an original spell, and a pretty cool one in my opinion. But why does it have to be crappy? alongside the other AoE's balance druids it could improve their raiding/dungeon DPS, and make them wanted. So my suggestion is to increase the damage, and lower the mana cost. If you don't want it to be spamable it could cost a lot of mana, but then the damage would have to be a lot higher. -Lopiz |

In my personal oppinion (not that it matters) the balance to aoe spells in 4.0.1 ruined moonkin aoe. Starfall now no longer attacks targets you are not in combat with, with decreased spell duration. Hurricane is also way to expensive and weak of a spell to justify using it, instead the main aoe rotation now is Moon/Sunfire + Swarm on everything and shrooms on cooldown, which in 4.2 will be less effective due to lunar/solar energy changes from DoTs.

Hurricane was crap even in wotlk. Multi dotting + starfall worked way better back then. Redesign it or buff it. Now it's just a placeholder in spellbook.

I agree, it's a long time since Hurricane was useful, i think instead of adding many new spells and ruin the good old, they should keep the good old ones good and rather balance new abilities. In my opinion a hurricane is much cooler than mushrooms :P |

the only time i use hercane is on maloriak add phase in solar eclipse(wouldn't dare using it in any other eclipse state) after mushrooms becous i cantd dot all the adds fast enough befor they die
other then that i never use it realy as stated above a placeholder |

Its useful for the slow if you don't have a hunter for add phases.

Move the mobs out of their Hurricane. |
How to make a Moonkin cry: Impossible since no real Moonkin has the spell in theire action bar or well at least no casting it. Only the really crazed ones from deep within the emerald dream might cast it. |

Hurricane is crap atm but it still has it's uses when things are dead before dots can be applied

So this is what i think about hurricane.
IT IS AWESOME! I use it all the time and i'm a freaking feral :P The way i use it though is for rated bgs to interupt the capturing bases and it works like wonders For balance druids though. It is completly shait! Either it could use a stacking debuff (up to 3 times - meaning up to 300% damage per tick of the channeling hit) that will leave a dot doing the same damage the hit it did over 2 seconds with a heavy mana reduction. Spontaneous ideas ftw? Doubtfull... Anyhow, it still has it's uses which doesn't make it uterly crap. People just fail to see were and how you can use it. Thats my two cents atleast. |

I use it for 2 reasons.
* Because it looks shiny * When I'm lazy I dont want to put down 3 shrooms and then press a 4th button to detonate them... But you know, just when I have a lazy day and I'm multi tasking (eating cookies while playing wow) |
