[H-RP] Residents of Tirisfal
|
|
I was very briefly mentioned in an undead roleplaying thread (famous!), and I've set my mind on making Forsaken roleplaying more active here on Earthen Ring ever since I became a fan of the server. While there is also a guild called <The Royal Dreadguard> being formed, I will still present my idea of my own guild to the forums and the server. Soraan is aware of my idea for a guild, and it isn't interfering with <The Royal Dreadguard>!
The Guild <Resident of Tirisfal> is a guild focused on the community of Tirisfal Glades. There are no warmongering heroes or goal-orientated leaders here; just the numerous civilians and residents that make up the bulk of the Forsaken population. Retired heroes, alchemists of every race, and other individuals are still possible residents of Tirisfal, and are therefor accepted as long as they have a permanent home in Tirisfal Glades. To reflect the nature of the guild, the Guild Charter is more of a census of the population rather than a description of the purpose of the guild. There is no true purpose to the residents of Tirisfal beyond living out their (undead) lives. For all the warmongering heroes and skillful artisans, there are many aspiring guilds with conquest and victory as goals; including the Forsaken-orientated guard society, The Royal Dreadguard. Requirments: To have your name documented into the census, you must have a permanent residence within Tirisfal Glades or its nearby borders of Silverpine and Western Plaguelands; or otherwise be an accepted member of the community who has spent at least three months in Tirisfal under their occupation. This includes:
Farmers, peons and investors of the rebuilding of Agamand Mills Retired heroes. Note: We do not have quests for you. Really. If you are a resident of Tirisfal Glades and do not fit any of these requirments, or wish to be enlisted in the census while you are trying to make yourself a resident of Tirisfal, contact Jonnathon for a personal conversation to discuss the matter. Citizens of all strengths and power are allowed and accepted, though we provide no quests or goals to enlist our citizens to the exploration of dungeons and battlegrounds beyond their personal wishes. All dungeon exploration and battleground enlistment are to be organized personally, though you are free to ask your fellow residents of Tirisfal for aid. |

Bulletin of Current Events:
As our previous census was accidentally burned at the awakening of Deathwing (thankfully leaving the rest of Tirisfal in its peace), the current census is empty; the previous council has been divided, either enlisted to explorations and battlegrounds or have otherwise been promoted to work in the Undercity; residents with a political background are encouraged to apply to the position of council. All residents are asked to an obligatory visit to the town hall to write down their name, signature and current profession into the new census. On a personal, out of character note: Though I'm an experienced roleplayer with four year of Forsaken roleplaying experience, and have profound knowledge of Forsaken lore, stories and quests, I am a foreign person on the server Earthen Ring. Any help to get me acquainted with the server and its people are much appreciated. |

On the contrary, I think it's a fantastic idea and gives two viable and different RP paths to Undead players. Not everyone likes military RP, and not everyone likes being a farmer.
I'm sure we can work together to improve Forsaken RP as a whole :) |

Aaw, Barlowe, you deleted your post! You are one of the few iconic faces I remember back in the days I was still on Earthen Ring.

It was the post I intended to make in the other thread, and I deleted it because I wanted to write something longer that reacted to your guild idea. But I can quite honestly say the same thing: I like the concept, I wish you luck, and hopefully we can arrange some interesting interplay between the Gilnean front lines and the Forsaken heartland. For example, we plan a sort of RP sub-plot about recapturing Gilnean art and cultural treasures from the Forsaken who've looted them, and those we don't manage to recover...well, what am I bid for this bust of Archibald Greymane, whose peppering of bullet holes only adds to the charm of this beautiful piece?
An interesting aside: as an effective OOC controller of our Forsaken enemies on the Gilnean I've found myself thinking a lot about how Forsaken society works etc. If you guys would allow me I'd be very interested in discussing and collaborating on Forsaken lore and suchlike. I could also direct you to the stuff I've been writing, or post it here. |

I myself are a fan -- nay, a loyal supporter of Undead lore. Though it has been 'dumbed' down a little in Cataclysm, I still pride myself on knowing most (if not all) characters and stories considering Forsaken, like say, Blarus the Warlock who allied himself with various (strange) races in an effort to destroy the Burning Crusade through the use of demonology, or Renee, the innkeeper of Brill, and her Scarlet Crusade background.
I think you get the idea. I'm here for all sorts of Forsaken discussion, though I tend to be a bit baised when you call them purely evil. (something that will hopefully be not roleplayed extensively in the guild) |

The guild is up and running! Free brownies and embalming fluid in the Town Hall for everyone! P.S.: Brownies are moldflavour.
