What do you think could be done about the server pop?

I just rerolled here a few days ago. What I notice all the time is that people here complain about the lack of activity\people on the server. I came from Shattered Hand Alliance, which is a really really busy server, but alas, the alliance side is full of clueless idiots, so i'm really used to a very crowded server. So yeah, I did notice that this server was alot more quiet, but the only way I actually noticed is the ammount of Guildrecruitment spam is less, and AH prices are generally a lot higher. But is it really that bad? In what ways do you guys notice that this server is short on players? and even more important, how do you believe this can be fixed?
Migration? Merging? Promotion of BF? Discuss! |

They promote this server by suggesting people roll Alliance on here.
Migration: $$$$$$$$ - From. To open Free migration to here (Horde gets it on a regular basis too) costs nothing. Merging: It's more cost effective to allow the migration FROM this server. You know.. Activi$ion don't like to spend money on people, they just take take take. Makes me wonder.. How many of those Japan-Aid pets did they sell? I'd vouch for less than 1000 |

blizz should close realms that are nearly dead and migrate chars for free OR alow free migration from or to this realm!

PvE Realm = Heavy Alliance Population. Like Silvermoon, isn't that like 98% Alliance? AND overpopulated?

yeah give us free migration away from this server or give new ppl on the server, merging it with a PVE server that has more alliance than horde would be awesome though.. not many on Boulderfist-EU actually like pvp..

For Boulderfist there is only one way...merging with other server
There were plenty of free migrations to BF and they pretty much ended like they did not happen |

The obvious solution is to keep posting multiple threads per week which no one of importance actually reads and hope something magical happens.

The only way !@#$ is gonna happen is if Blizzard is actually gonna see threads like this and go "hmm, could be something." Not likely, more like a 0.0001%. But still. |

As Ysane said, Blizzard would rather have us paying to Migrate than merging us with another server :]

I am new to the server aswell and my only problem with the low population(which I did not check beforehand, I just read PvP server and joined) is that the prices on the auctionhouse is impossible for me to keep up with at this point. I mainly PvP and my goldcount is really low. I can't even afford bags for my bank. Luckily as a PvP'er I don't end up with much stuff, but I am not sure when I'll be able to afford glyphs, gems and enchants when I reach higher level.
If I do get something to sell(I am a herbalist atleast), it's not easy to sell either due to lack of buyers. Other than that I am not that bothered by the lack of population. |

Haha. Everyone that plays here has been quite aware of the fact the population is low. Some people actually enjoying playing here because it is, which is the exact reason why i think some people decide to stick around.
Theres plenty of crowded pvp servers out there, including alliance side. I'm also pretty sure most of you at least spent some extra money to racechange/sexchange whatever. I suggest keeping that money for a transfer if you so desperately feel the need to move from boulderfist. Myself, i kind of like it here actually. Its like living in a small town where everyone knows each other. And with next patches x-realm raiding change i hardly see any downsides to being alliance on Boulderfist. |
