It's very noticeable that the alliance side is indeed "dead" and i am pretty sure that every alliance player in genjuros would love to have a higher population or at least balance out the alliance to horde ratio, more or less we need more players. So far i can only count 3 proper active raiding guilds on the alliance side which actually says it all. It would be very appreciated if we have a Developer reply to this topic and work something out. I suggest free character migration to genjuros for alliance players only.

As everyone here, I'm very concerned about the low population on the alliance side of genjuros, we really need something to be done from blizz, a free transfer to the alliance side only seems to be the most easy way to solve that problem (even if I'm not convinced that our reputation will attract billions of people :P ) , I don't think the dev's will go on a merge of servers so at least give us an answer (we are clients of your company after all). And keep this thread up !

LFD already made the game suck and destroyed the community. Players can act like total jerks and never face ANY consequences. Before this "improvement" it actually payed to be nice to each other and the jerks were an exception who quickly came deserted by the community. Sure, it's 10 times faster, but it comes with the expense which, at least on my behalf, has lately really started to *%!!%@!%%@@! me off. Every single day i hear how "fu***ing stupid retard" i am for making some silly little mistake or wasting other peoples precious time cause i really had to go to toilet.

So LFR most likely will make you happy at least for a short period of time. But the LFR&LFD players will always stay the same flaming, cursing, arrogant and self-centered dicks.

I totally agree with you Fröökynä, even if i went on many pugs with maybe not skilled but nice people & i had fun playing with them. On 25raid pug , that wont be the same though, i see many ninjas from far away but that's not the prime subject of the topic, now my guild master & members are really thinking to change server because we can't take anymore the emptyness of genjuros. We will see after the patch if some people think to come back & maybe cast a revive on the server, I don't hope much of that.

Also server (in general servers) need more 25-mans .Otherwise simply downing , like i have seen 25-man guilds to 10-man also descrease the willing aswell the options that players have.(But this is the easy options that ppl always want ).

I personally wanna see the 25-man scene on this server to grow past the 5-6 25man guilds on this server, and I could be wrong - but I believe they only exist on horde side.

We've shown it is possible to create a competitive roster within a tier even if it means our core going out of their way to help shape new-age players.

Hey guys (and Blizzard!)

I recently returned to the game and this server and not long time passed before I realized this issue as well. My roots are planted well beneath the earth of this server and I feel the urge to tell my story too. So find yourself a snack and sit back, if you bother...

This is and has always been the only server for me. I started my very first character here back in vanilla; my human rogue Jira. Oh how I loved playing WoW at the time! Genjuros was floating with life everywhere. It was not a problem to find a group for anything. I remember an old friend who helped me back in the days when the game was still new to me - a priest called Setone. I was probably around level 14 and I had problems with an elite quest (Yeah, a quest you actually could not do alone. How about that...). So there I was, stuck in Loch Modan. And out of the blue I see a level 60 priest in Thelsamar. I whisped him if he would help with a quest and to my surprise he said yes. This was the beginning of a long running friendship.

Time passes and I reach level 60. I log on daily to "spam" the Looking For Group chat (anyone remembers this?) for Stratholme and Scholo runs. It was not a problem at all! Even though a lot found it annoying with spam and all, we managed. And at the instances we were often faced against another group readying up for the instance. Or even a horde group getting ready! What a mess it sometimes was - but this is what I look back at with great nostalgia.

I was introduced to WoW through a friend, so I "entered" the world a little late. So I did not get to try MC or BWL or any of those good old raid instances before TBC was released. It was not a problem to find a guild which raided MC and ZG though. Genjuros was alive as ever! And you could really feel that when you for the first time entered The Dark Portal. There were alliance and horde players EVERYWHERE. Hellfire Peninsula was a huge battleground and it was AWESOME! (Occasionally annoying).
When the honeymoon-period ended for TBC and people got level 70 you really got a picture of how the server peeked. Daily people created new guilds and we had tons of "end-game" guild doing Serpentshrine Cavern and Black Temple. And all the new guild did Karazhan. Oh Karazhan. Don't you all remember how it was always a fight for the Summoning Stone just outside Karazhan?
World PvP was fantastic! You could always find someone from the opposing faction at one of the raid instances.

At this point I peeked my World of Warcraft career. I had my end game PvE rogue Jira and my fully vengeful/brutal PvP priest, Jofira. The server was really great at the time. Yes, we hated the Greeks and the spamming - but compared to today I would gladly take any "xa0xa0xa0xa0" spam if the server could be so alive as it was then.
Ironforge was the best! In front of the bank and the AH there was ALWAYS between 20-50 playing during the daytime. We often hung around there chatting in /s.

The WotlK was introduced. At this time I had had enough of WoW. So I took a break. For like a half a year. A real life friend (Rockyshaman, Livingdeathh, Spasser, Totalchaos. The devil is known by many names!) had continued playing so I had to come back and see how it felt. Something was not entirely the same. Dalaran made it hard to figure how many active players was around each faction. But I made it work. I had a blast the short time I played the game at this time as well. People did still assemble raid groups in trade chat (Wintergrasp, Agent Tournament thing). The server was still alive. 25 man raids was not uncommon and often made by random players. Pug groups and item level made it possible.

Then Cataclysm came. I had had enough once again. I left the game again. For more then a year. And now I am back again. Resurrected by the 10 days trial. I had to try again. It is now 20 days ago I logged in for the first time in Cata and this is what I see Genjuros has turned into. It is as all of you have already pointed out: DEAD. It's a good day if you can find 15 players in all of Stormwind. The trade chat is completely dead. People are almost provoking each other just to get some reactions and some life in the chat. This makes me sad. The server was once so full of life. I do not know what happened. We slowly bled to death when WotlK was launched?

I can only speak for my self, but for me the whole community of the server made the game worthwhile. You can inject so many dungeon finders and raid finders and bg finders you want, but if the server you play on got nothing to offer the game just becomes boring and too much of.. a game. Because whether you like it or not World of Warcraft is also a social network for many. We've made so many friends through this game and we play this game mainly because of them. And it is A LOT easier connecting with someone from your own realm then with someone from another.

I really hope you got a plan to resolve this issue..

Blizard must open all servers (populated) like outland ,neptulon for free migration to genjuros.So that we become more here and continue playing.

If you dont have money for transfer just reroll

I dont think that some one is going to transfer to dead realm.

Cas evryone want to play on high-full-locked populated realms.

Point is that , there aren't anymore skilled people left in this server and in general no raiding-guilds for people .
Few guilds=few people is kinda dissaster.
High populated server are doing atm 4/8 hc semi-guild(Alts) pugs and in this server you can barrelly see any kind of pug.And if you see they can barrely pass 1/8 normal....
It's not only Migrate.
Anyone can start a new char in a high populated+ activities(Already doing), and at some point you will enjoy the lvl up asweel beeing in a server full of activies, making new friends and in general spending the time that you spend in this game at another rate /rather than afking and waiting for nothing....Genjuros....
Lvl-up can be done easily in few days and gear-up is a matter of hours ,since doing few dungeons and you're ready more the enought for normals modes.

AGREE. it was so low that on tol barad , one of the night matches were like 14v14.

Im trying to establish a 10man Greek guild about a month now :P

Well i Have many non Greek friends but, Greeks and no Greeks tend to fight each other like kids. I just started again 1.5 month ago and I joined a new guild [Sons of Hellscream] 13 years old GMs <Oh my god> and I left them for that reason. I prefer to be in a guild with Greeks only or Non Greeks, cause I cant see ppl try to hurt other people cause of their flag... Thats how I decided to form a new guild with mature guys and 1 nationality. Now with the Greece dept the things are worse :P But just for information for non Greeks, the money your country lend us, go to our bankers and returned to your bankers again. Not even 1 euro goes for Greek people... They fool us just to start fight each other as always.

Im 25 years old, I play since Vanilla 2004 (300hours played loled) with big breaks between expansions. I sold my 1st account back in 2008 and I started again after some years casual gameplay. Lately I was in firebreathers (A good active raiding guild horde side) at firelands patch, but I had to stop again for personal reasons since now.

My last chance to stay on this realm is to form this friendly guild and get ready for Mop expansion as soon as possible. Atm we are 6 and we are quite friendly and we respect each other, we share guild bank and mats, we work together dungeons, raids (6+pugs), arenas etc.. We dont like troublemakers and rude kids, I have already kicked and ignore some of them that spamming in trades for me, if you saw them :P.. I have information for recruiting in another thread here. If someone is interesred for a friendly Crew /w me In game.

hi am greek.i dont think that blizzard is going to improve anything in our server.It's worse than ever.this server about 2 years ago was full of life and now its dead this is too bad for greek people as this server had mostly greek players.i so sad for this and think tham i am not going to pay for extra game time.

Its not this the biggest problem. Biggest problem was that from the start of cata most of the 25-man guilds have downed to 10-man formats and ....results are crappy. I saw more 10-man guilds name rather then people **
The downsize from a 25-man to a 10-man is simply leaving many people Outside.
So dont expect in a server -Greekjuros=10-mans= Find anything.

Guess why this server died? The mentality of quite a big group of players on this server was horrible. Constant flaming and trolling....thats all there was left after some time.

So all semi decent people and players left. Resulting in the horrible state the server is in now. One team above 2200 in arena, no RBGs going on ever and one of the worst progression records in eu.

Eventho competing =/= the same as having fun. The fun bit is lacking aswerll unless you enjoy flamewars.
