Preventing ninja looting in Pugs
|
Littlelu managed to quote my post, hinting that I might just be pulling !@#$ out my %^-* so Ill bite:
http://imageshack.us/f/580/ninjab.png/ Here you see a member of the guild Behemoth ninjaing a pair of plate bracers as a warlock, when I contacted an officer from Behemoth I was told that noone cares because its not worth anything so I originally left it at that not to cause any further drama, but since drama has sprung up I thought it was time to pull it out again. |

Which officer did you contact blessthefall ? as from what I can work out from the screen shot, (iv have to enlarge and sharpen to see the names involved) the item in question was won on a need roll like you stated.
however it looking at the date/time on your start bar it looks like it was a weekly raid run, and I hardly think that the person in question would have rolled need unless they where told to by the raid leader for the BOE. I also know for a fact that if you had approached her explaining that they were still an upgrade for the character you were on at the time (2 and a half years from when naxx was current tier) then she would have given them to you ^.^ if however you still need them, then if you have an alliance character your quite welcome to whisper me and ill send you a pair |

I wouldn't have rolled in my example if the raid leader said at the start you cant give items to alts and must equip it.
What your guildy did was probably against "community rules". You sir have a guild full of ninjas (what isn't this what you said about us...) Loot rules aside man your guildy is dishonest and he goes against "community rules". p.s. no one has yet to lay out these "community rules" by the way. I still don't know what they are exactly. If they are not something you makup on the spot to favour yourself someone must know what they are and can list them. |

I dont need the item, and I never did, I was the lootmaster and clearly stated that everyone was to greed roll the BoE, one person decides that rules didnt apply to her(?) and took the item and left the raid. However wether the item in question is an upgrade to anyone isnt important.
It wasnt a big deal and it still isnt, it bugged me a bit, hence why I screenied it and contacted an officer (cant remember who though, looks like the person isnt in your guild anymore as I just looked over the rooster and no names popped out) and was pretty much told to !@#$ off. And the fact that she wanted to give the item back just proves that she is exactly as good or bad a person as Adamv who said exactly that, that he would have turned it over if somone had asked nicely instead of abusing / ignoring him. My point being, that people do this, maybe not meaning to be ##*@s, but thats how it might come across to others :) |

yep well said Blessthefall
No one in this thread is a real ninja or dishonest nearly everything said here including stuff by myself has been trolling just to past the time. It does appear both our guilds have people that dont no what "community rules" are though. I really do think its time to set these rules out trolling put to one side for a second what are they. |

p.s. no one has yet to lay out these "community rules" by the way Mine would be not being a @%%@ - guess not everyone share the same thoughts. :) Btw, four more pages since yesterday? Not bad at all. Must be a hot topic. |
Got to do something whilst at work |

need something to pass the time :(
btw are we just arguing over the same thing here but to each other yet at each other somehow. My example the people who were &*&^ are those who called names / harassment (wasn't me i just misunderstood and tried to give the loot to the other guy just got flamed down before I could and ignored) We seam to be arguing that Ninjas are bad yet no one in this topic has actually ninja anything or been unfair towards anyone in raid. The only people who have been unfair have not posted they are those in my example i.e those who were in the raid harassing. We should all unite and flame those who don't lay out loot rules correctly not flame each other for trying to stop ninjas. Because i see no ninjas here (other than that behemoth example) I think we should establish these "community rules" and what they exactly are before we talk about them and accuse others of going against them before they know what they are. Lets work together and fight Ninjas and set out some ground rules. We could be like power ranges. police, Teenage mutant ninja turtles, Thunderbirds, Superman of the ninjaing world and fight for all that's good and right. |

You know, there's a really simple solution that people still don't seem to have gotten:
In Adamv's story, a number of people gave him the "ohnoes urninjawoop" attittude. But the onus is on the RL to be crystal clear about that; for example, I was an OT in an FL trash run a couple of weeks ago and Well, I was not happy to find the ring from said tank on the AH for 30k two hours later, once the trash run was called. Was what that tank did right by the rules? Sure thing. Was I really pissed about it? Yup. Did it bother me that much after the initial fury? Not really, but YMMV. If the loot rules were "MS > RR, equip for MS." then I might have been able to get it, as that would have been an actual ninja, rather than a case of a bad ethical decision. also, to TL;dr this thread, NO-ONE EXPECTS THE SPANISH NINJA INQUISITION! |
