This DOES appear to be effective. Please redirect people to this thread.
Please, post results. Let us know how this works! To do this on a Windows PC(Windows 7, Windows Vista): Run CMD; Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt, right click to run as administrator Type the command; netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=900 store=persistent or netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Wireless Network Connection" mtu=900 store=persistent To reset this, re-type the line that worked for you and replace the "900" with "1500" FOR WINDOWS XP USERS; Download TCP optimiser. I've seen this recommended in the thread, although I'm unsure if it actually works as I'm not having this problem. (thanks to Torchwood for that) To do this on a Mac: Apply icon > System Preferences > Network > Ethernet / Airport > Advanced > Ethernet tab > Select "Configure: Manually" (from Automatic) > Change MTU from "Standard (1500)" to "Custom" and enter 900 Use this at your own risk! -Spersky, Tech support stalker. |

Yeah I can't get this to work. Dont type the initial quotation marks. Just type: netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=900 store=persistent |

What you should be typing is either...
netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=900 store=persistent or netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Wireless Area Connection" mtu=900 store=persistent Unless you're using WinXP. There's a seperate guide for that. |

I'm used to nothing ever working. Last time I had a connection problem Virgin came and fixed it. Twice. Because they didn't f'ing fix it the first time >:( And my pc always breaks, and my phone always breaks... Yeah you get the idea. Nothing works. So I didn't expect this to.
